I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying your adventures, I've hours of viewing to catch up on now because I'm going right back to your start if I can find it. You take me back to April 1986 when I set off, with my wife on a 28ft Cobra 850 and spent 5 marvellous years in the Med. I've dipped into many sailing videos on RUclips over the years but none have mirrored my own experience quite like yours. All I have to jog my memories are a few fading photographs and 5 log books so your videos are an absolute joy. You may find some of your land based friends, who are off to work every day ask " What do you do all day? " and you will be able to reply, " Something different every single day " good luck to you both and thanks. Ken

Hi you two you are in the home of Jacque Cousteau s earliest experiments at producing the Aqualung ... Scuba diving. And one of the most ancient port cities in the Med.. Good idea to anchor outside and get the ferry in its a bit mad at times. 😉⛵😎
Those are trenches dug out of the rock to give cover to defenders they zig zag to stop anyone being able to fire down the line of a trench if they were to be overun at one point. Also it stops any blast/fragments.
@@TheArgonautsVlog I've cross linked you to other younger UK sailers in the west Med.. area and Sailing Uma suggested forming a young cruisers association. There latest post is from the French Biscay coast.
@@clivestainlesssteelwomble7665 Awesome, thanks! We're actually heading West to escape the Schengen area but I've heard that a few others plan on doing the same☺️ We're members of an existing Young Cruisers Association already, need to message some people!😁💙
@@TheArgonautsVlog Yes I follow another two channels who are doing the Brexit/Shengen run west with Turkey and Croatia being mentioned as destinations. Bit of a shame for British sailors, as it puts an unnecessary and even potentially dangerous time limit on their plans. Sometimes i feel a little ashamed of my generation!🙄
@@chrisyarnold6205 It certainly adds more stress having time limits! We feel very rushed sometimes and it's a shame to have missed so many beautiful places along the way and to have not spent longer in the places we have seen! However we'd probably still be chilling in the canals right now without the new rules😂 I think it has encouraged us to push ourselves and we've got so much further than I thought we would've by now! We were struggling to decide between heading for Tunisia or Croatia to start with, we ended up making it out of Italy just in time and are now in Albania in real time🤫 I'm so excited to share the rest of the content we've collected! Unfortunately the whole Schengen thing has definitely made it much harder to find time for video editing😭 We're planning to really slow down when we get to Croatia and I'm hoping to get the videos caught up while we're there!
