I feel your pain Dave I learned a wee trick years ago to alleviate my back pain . when you get up in the morning stand with your feet flat on floor and your legs spread with your arms bye your side fists clenched and push your fists down and away from your body keeping your back straight. Do about 10 times . Seems to re energise the muscles . Its worth a try
73 year old here. all truck drivers should have priority, weather it be haulers, small firms, companies like yours, all I put in my car is my usual 15 pounds once a month. Will not follow the sheep. So we'll done for keep going.
Oh my goodness Dave my heart goes out to having your back out and bouncing around in the truck not to mention climbing the ladder I am just hoping it doesn't lock up then. Get better soon. Stevie team duck here. I laughed and smile everytime I think about tolietpaper sofa so true your rant but very funny delivery.
I remember a time when almost every yard had it's own fuel storage, even back as a boy we had fuel tanks filled once a week by the fuel tanker, I do remember over the years the regulations got tighter, proper run-off/drainage, security/access keys, I cannot remember when I last saw fuel storage everyone seems to have an account or fuel card.
Loved the rant Dave couldn’t agree more with what you said and couldn’t have said it better. Worlds just gone potty . Brilliant work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
I remember when i made wrought iron gates and railings and i had customers wanting 50-70kg drive gates mounting to a 12inch square brick pillars and they wouldn't be too pleased when i told them we won't fit them because the pillar isn't strong enough and it would be down to us if the pillar cracks off at the base and the other pillar would be same diameter and free standing, we would tell them if they want them gates fitted they would need the pillars dismantling and either a bigger pillar building and filled with concrete or a steel box section installing into the ground and bricking up. 99% of the time those problems occurred when it was the sales rep going out to people and trying to aqueeze out as much money as he could but couldn't care less if the gates were to heavy for the pillars as long as he got a sale.
Love Dave’s rant , toilet roll sofa 😂, I blame the media if you tell people not to panic well they panic ,nice gate hangs , great instalment. Hope Dave’s back recovery is swift.nothing worse .
Just want to say my friend that works at stanlow oil refinery swears there is nothing changed with drivers or output He and I agree timing too convenient It's setup up by the government to flush out the old e5 unleaded That he tells me had only a month of life left before they couldn't sell Also with the laws changing as well
Deliver pizzas use bout £13 a night I haven't panicked once this time luckily there's nothing to panic about I just fill up at 11pm when people sleep instead of waiting Been putting on 40 a time not 20 If it's your living get what you need
Just looked this up. The vast majority comes from imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is transported to the UK by sea from countries such as Qatar and the US. Other reliable suppliers include the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium. About half of the UK's gas comes from the North Sea, and a third is sourced from Norway.Mar 11, 2022
I’m trying to catch up on your earlier videos. 3 months after this was posted you have 3.6K likes. I’m in US and wish we had your crew here. Love the idea of the cement board at bottom and the use of the cement posts also. They put the wooden posts into the ground here and after a few short years they rot and need to be replaced. Also the fence boards that touch the ground rot. Just their way of getting more money.
I have just laughed that much, i fell off my toilet roll sofa, kicked the toilet roll coffee table over and fell head first into my 30,000 gallon fuel tank . thankfully i managed to fill it up last week ready to for my lawn mower or i might have hurt me soft head! Great Video lads ... keep sane whilst everyone else has gone la la .... p.s going to start buying 1,000 of pork chops next week ......
Morning guy’s, another great video, I totally agree the fuel situation is getting out of hand I’ve seen 1 guy with a funnel and 8 large water bottles unfortunately I can’t put on here what I said to him, your fencing and gates always looks 100%, hope your back is better, keep them videos coming.👍
Fuel shortage in Bedfordshire too. Some garages wont let fuel cans be filled but it must be a nightmare for gardeners etc that need cans for lawnmowers chainsaws etc.
Don't worry about the ducks and moor hens they will leave and come back when you've gone, it's the swan that will fight you for their territory, but you need to get it done some time soon before end of winter. If the swans are not there time to clean it. 🤓
If you pause ⏸ it at 40:51 with the greatest respect (and the gates are very well made👌🏻) those different length and angled diagonal braces just don’t please the eye. Am I missing the reason for the middle brace not being central?
…. I see at 49:06 it’s how Jamie’s making them. Each to their own, I’m one of these fussy buggers that has to have things looking evenly spaced or it bugs me forever. 😁👍🏻 If it’s to accommodate the latch higher up the gate I’d just fix a block to fix it to. Cheers …..
If your customers have a can of fuel for you instead of a cuppa . 🤪 Can you use this situation to better your use of fuel going forward.. Maybe you could broadcast alert when you're in delivery areas that you have space to deliver or collect, so you have a full load.. better use of your time and fuel.. 🤔
Nice vid lads. I know it’s crazy about this fuel panic buying. I agree with you it will affect small businesses etc. And the Emergency services I am a Retained Firefighter and we spent 1 hr & 15mins to wait for our turn we had no option as we could of got called out at a seconds notice. Hopefully people will listen and stop fuel panic buying.
Another great week at D&J. I hope your back repairs as I know what and how you're suffering Dave. I have had a Graff Stabilisation of my lower lumber spine and that's not good.
Glad i dont need fuel but feel your pain having to queue for it... Is it time to panic buy fencing gates from d&j and other landscape supplies.. Great video as always. Stevie davie dads back😁 no more stevie 😭 flooding the river. Lol😜 Woohoo to the 🦆🦆🦆
No I have not been stuck in the absolutely crazy que I filled up 3 weeks ago and that will last me a couple of months but the wife's car is nearly on empty so I guess we will have to go and put some in .keep up the good work you are lucky my Dad was always missing.
Friday feeling ! Bricks never showed up so ended up hand digging a footing on a garage conversion on the sunniest ( best day for bricklaying ) of the week 😩😩. Stevie when those concrete screws are being stubborn a quick blast of WD40 helps them in , less stress on your drill or impact driver too 😉👌🏼. And Dave with your back playing up you could do with a holiday 🤣🤣🧱👍🏼
You do make a cracking job of alterations and add on's stevie and that's a sign of a quality tradesman right there, glad you value your time off time Dave it's important to keep that balance brother. Once again thanks so much for your support with our channel I'm so blown away in a time where everyone in the world seems to be falling out with each other, its nice to see someone help their fellow brothers out. Keep up the amazing work boys I'm sure 100k is only around the corner D&J projects ✌️
I live near Manchester and have been working in Port Talbot ,South Wales. I got down to 40 miles range before getting fuel to travel home. I feel for you guys.
From working in a retail park litter picking with 5 fast food outlets and being 2 minutes away from the River Bann in Coleraine. I can understand why that site has that sign. Like I’ve saw big water rats eating lift over McDonald’s food. As for the fuel shortage issue have you thought about converting the fleet so they can turn fast food waste into fuel?
Get an 8" foam roller and roll from back of the neck/shoulders down to the base of your back with your arms raised, use your legs a bit , works for me for a quick reset
The gates would look better without the top diagonal brace,it’s at too much of an angle to be of any support anyway and just my opinion but I think they would look a lot better without it. Keep the vids comin 👌
Yet another cracking video, lovin how you keep the vids cheerful and you find stuff to talk about...cheers for the follow....I have a long way to go yet !
We produce our own stinky biofuel , only issue we had was during lockdown as couldn't get enough oil fromnchippys as a lot were closed or doing reduced business!
They don't have card lock pumps in the UK? We use commercial account fuel only pumps here. My truck fuels twice daily & runs four 176 mile trips per day (1133km) no time for t/s or store pumps waits.
Love your positivity on every single video mate, the time and effort you put into these videos is unreal. I’m trying to get my dad into videoing but but he just ain’t into it like big Dave 😂 always a top job from the D&J Boys 👍👍👍
Invest in a diesel tank for the yard pay for itself in no time as you will save man hours going to the petrol station NOT to mention saving mileage on your vehicles 👌
round were i live all the stations have fuel with pretty much 0 people waiting at the pumps, thats up at st helens near liverpool. must be a down south thing?
So stevie apologised for the wind was it taff farting just asking cause flatulance is rife in very old people 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and then dave comments his misses said hes to have it off with a bad back as well make of that what you will 😬😬😬 another good video i enjoyed it and well said dave about all the panic buyers they piss me off to any way fuel buy ya own container at work could save you a fortune in the long run at least you will have fuel and not rely on garages hope ya enjoyed spain keep up the good work 👍
5,500 temporary seasonal work visas being issued until Christmas for truck drivers to try to stop shortages. Sounds like a tempting once in a lifetime opportunity.
Agreed, idiots panic buying fuel. Great gate replacements stevie and taff. Have you tried plastic welding the tripod instead of superglue?
Another great video from you guys and it’s lovely to see that I’m not the only tradesman who takes care and makes a proper job. 👍👍👍
I feel your pain Dave I learned a wee trick years ago to alleviate my back pain . when you get up in the morning

I suffered badly with sciatica for years bought a water bed within a week no back trouble as their are no pressure points as in a normal bed
Bow top fence and gates mate great work boyos looks fantastic

Be nice to see and hear more taff. Always in background and such a grafter, d&j really do enjoy you content,
Happy days. Again.always do great work 👍 an glad u managed to get sum fuel 👍

To reiterate Taz, I would be looking for an old tanker, and park it up in the yard keep fuel for future bad times , it will happen again.
Good to see Taff back in action, the fuel situation is totally crazy.
Quality rant!
Toilet roll sofa is exactly the image people need to understand this madness.
Crazy week with all this panic buying, glad you managed to get fuel and not effect your week too much.
Enjoyed the vid lads , Lots of Gates for Stevie an Taff lol , hope back heals Big Dave keep Trooping on , Thanks lads 👍

You went "out out"..,😂.. great you take a break to re-energise..
Great video again guys it must of been cold Thursday as taff is wearing trousers instead of shorts lol
Team Morehen needs a shout out!
52:34 Oooooh Suit you sir! Hope your back's better soon brother
Love Dave’s rant , toilet roll sofa 😂, I blame the media if you tell people not to panic well they panic ,nice gate hangs , great instalment. Hope Dave’s back recovery is swift.nothing worse .
Loved your rant dave spot on with everything you said
Yep still continuing down south people still cueing at the pumps
Anyone else been stuck in these crazy fuel queues?! #WorldsGoneMad
15 mins about 2 days ago refused to join the panic as this panic buying for no reason was causing the problems
Been ok round here went to Essex Tuesday was crazy down there and motorway had to wait hour for fuel

Just want to say my friend that works at stanlow oil refinery swears there is nothing changed with drivers or output
He and I agree timing too convenient
It's setup up by the government to flush out the old e5 unleaded
That he tells me had only a month of life left before they couldn't sell
Also with the laws changing as well
Deliver pizzas use bout £13 a night I haven't panicked once
this time luckily there's nothing to panic about I just fill up at 11pm when people sleep instead of waiting

What you said about being limited to £30. I say they should make it a minimum of £30. That would stop the buggers topping up.
loving the gates
Another great one chaps. In my opinion Dave when the wife says 'have it off' you should do exactly what she says otherwise you'll be in trouble! 😉
😂😂😂😂😂
Have you ever thought about putting little metal plates on your fencing , with your details .... would be great for follow on work ?
Good idea Paul 💡😉
Top tip on fixin post off settin fixings
Great video lads but time for a diesel tank fitted at the yard to keep you boys going in time of need that would make a great episode.
Agree the situation is absolutely ridiculous hope you get plenty to keep working.👍👍👍
I have just laughed that much, i fell off my toilet roll sofa, kicked the toilet roll coffee table over and fell head first into my 30,000 gallon fuel tank . thankfully i managed to fill it up last week ready to for my lawn mower or i might have hurt me soft head!

Love your bush mechanic repair on the crane Dave, hope you sort your back out. As always top video

The most simple things Dave are what does my back in, hope your on the mend now though. Not pleasant back pain.
I enjoyed it 👍🏼 Now is the time to invest in battery vehicles. Zero road tax until 2025.
Hi not saying you will but I have just been to Sainsbury’s in Arnold for fuel about 10 mins ago and got straight in and out with any ploblem
They don't have card lock pumps in the UK? We use commercial account fuel only pumps here. My truck fuels twice daily & runs four 176 mile trips per day (1133km) no time for t/s or store pumps waits.

Hey! not to shabby Steve lol
Is it possible to have your own full station in the yard. Or will it be to expensive.
