For anyone interested, I just posted my "Best Makeup of 2018" on my beauty channel: ruclips.net/video/Uaciih9RznI/видео.html You get to see this makeup look in all its glory :P
Omg so thankful for this distraction. It's 2:45am and my dog is just getting back from an evening/night at the emergency vet. There's no I can slept because I'm literally watching her breathing and I'm so paranoid something will happen to her, so this is well needed right now and some tea. Not the best day....
According to a good friend of mine who loves Dostoevsky, Brothers Karamazov is easier to start with than Crime and Punishment because it has fewer characters that it follows so it'll be less confusing especially for people who are just trying to get into his works. But he said that both are fantastic nonetheless!
I read Kings of the Wyld recently and loved it - it doesn't take itself too seriously because the band has the most improbable good luck. Senlin Ascends was a little slow at the start and I wasn't sure how I was going to relate to Thomas Senlin, but once in the tower the pace picks up and you find yourself drawn right in. I loved the book and have now just read book 3 and waiting for book 4. I want to read Good Omens - I love Terry Pratchett's work and usually enjoy Neil Gaiman's writing too.
I really need to read more and you always motivate me, especially since you talk about such different books than the ones I normally hear about from other booktubers. I love you and your opinions!
YES! Good Omens is one of my all time favorite books! I read it last year and I absolutely fell in love with it! I really hope you enjoy it and I cannot wait for the Amazon Miniseries!
I would love a reading vlog for Good Omens!! I have had it on my self for more than a year, so it’d be great to have a video to watch after reading it.
I am trying to read more up to date and new releases this year. I am really excited about; Black Leopard Red Wolf, The Last, The Binding, The Hunting Party, An Orchestra of Minorities and The Priory of Orange Tree, as well as the long awaited sequel to the handmaid's tale ofc...to name a few.
I’d start with Notes from Underground and some other short stories by Dostoevsky, to get the feel for his writing style (also it’s less intimidating). I’d also suggest getting a different edition of The Karamazov Brothers, since the translation in that one is quite rubbish and I’d hate for someone to dislike Dostoyevsky because of a bad translation. :)
I'm looking foward to your imput in all these books, many of them I'm interested in. Also, your eye makeup is goals, love those more pastely (is this a word?) colors looks.
I just finished Senlin Ascends I found it started out slow but omg it turned into a wild ride. It's actually going to be a quartet. Super excited to read the others. Hope you enjoy it! Great haul ty for the video. 💖
I read Crime and Punishment in 2017 and it was intimidating but I really enjoyed it. I've heard good things about the Karamazov Brothers as well though.
I read The Rosie Project years ago but I don't remember much of it. I do remember I enjoyed it well enough and it wasn't too heavy on the romance but it is part of the story so brace yourself. I have books two and three in this series on my TBR so I'll have to re-read it before I get to those.
I am so happy you got Kings of the Wyld it's one of my all time favourite books. It's hilarious, action-packed and wholesome, I really hope you love it :)
Emily great haul! For Dostoevsky's check the other books of his from Wordsworth classics. I love how pretty they are and they all match each other. I think you'll love it!
Terry Pratchett is one of my favorite authors. Even if you don't end up liking Good Omens, I would still give his other books a shot. I would recommend `Mort`.
I just finishedThe Rosie Project. Loved it! Although it was predictable I loved reading about how they met and what they go through. I didn’t know it was going to be a movie.
I love Good Omens! And I would love a reading vlog. Do you think it's possible you'll read more of Terry Pratchett's books? He is one of my favourite authors and I would love to know your oppinion. And even if you don't like Good Omens, please consider it! His series is great.
I am on book four of the Senlin Ascends series. It just came out. The series is outstanding you will not be disappointed. Good Omens is hysterical. You will laugh out loud
Lavender has never looked this good! Emily, you are my favorite youtuber ever. Whenever I watch your book haul I have the urge to buy more books even though I have so many unread books. haha. And have little or no free time to read English books because I'm learning Korean like there's no tomorrow.
@@Morfeusm I have read only few Korean novels since I'm still learning grammar etc. and I usually read the English translated Korean novels. I have yet to discover my favorite Korean author once I gain the confidence to read Korean novels.

I am seriously happy to find out that I'm not the only one who couldn't click with Neil Gaiman. I don't even know why, his books aren't bad or something, but just not amazing. I hope you'll enjoy Kings of the Wyld! I really loved it and thought it was super fun! Btw, The Books of Babel is 4 books long, just letting you know! :)
Also, if you want to start off with a Doestoyevsky I would suggest ‘Crime and Punishment’, it’s actually really not that difficult a read and reasonably fast paced.
I hope you enjoy reading Good Omens. It is one of my top ten books for sure. Neil isn't everybody's cup of tea but maybe you'll end up liking him after reading Good Omens. Terry Prachett is another excellent writer in my opinion - a wicked sense of humor for sure. I got to meet him once (Neil too). I'll be reading Kings of the Wyld next. I'm looking forward to it, everyone talks about how good it is. Issac Asimov is definitely one of the big influencers of the SF genre. I think anyone who is not just a casual reader of SF should spend some time getting to know his works. I enjoy reading him but personally I like is shorter works better than his novels. Make sure you read his novella Nightfall at some point. You have a nice book haul there. Happy reading and thanks for sharing your videos.
I'm almost certain there was a movie called "Seven Days" that was the same as the arc. Same premise and the movie was in French. Also, it was awesome :) As for books I got recently, I found four of Clive Barker's books in a used book store so I got all of them. I'm trying to collect all of his books.

Oh my God I've been eyeing Dragon's egg for a while now, I can't wait to hear what you think of it! I've heard Children of time compared to it so I'm really intrigued.
Crime and Punishment first, then Brothers K. Brothers K is my favorite by him, but Crime and Punishment is more approachable if you aren't used to his writing style. Both are excellent, some of the best fiction ever written.
Good omens is actually one of the two books I dnfed last year...it was just so not my humour and it bored me so much 😅 but I’m excited to see your review haha
