I love the Angela Thirkell books! She wrote more than 2 dozen books on the life of county families in the 1930's through 1950's. Well worth the read. My favorite is Northbridge Rectory. They are best read in order as people and events from earlier books intertwine with later novels, and when old friends appear they feel like your own family. Just the thing for a wintry day!

I'm moving away from BookTubers who recommend horror, fantasy, contemporary romance, science fiction, witches and vampires and the like. I haven't read anything by D. E. Stevenson but I keep hearing the name on book tube. Just put a hold at my library on The Four Graces and they had Diary of a Provincial Lady so I put a hold on that one as well. Thanks for the recommends.
