  • Hiking in Sedona can be an incredible experience. There are endless amounts of amazing trails. We had a blast finding these secret spots and enjoyed the challenge of getting there. With so many ruins, caves and arches around Sedona we can't wait till next time to find more. If you've heard of Sedona then you've likely seen pictures of Cathedral Rock and Devils Bridge. These are the most popular trails in Sedona. We told ourselves when we go back to Sedona we have to vlog those locations because that's what people like to see. Well that was the plan and plans change especially when Covid-19 is in full swing so many of the trailheads are closed! Luckily for us we know about a couple of Sedona's many secrets. On this weeks episode we find some ruins and check out one of the coolest arches in Sedona!

    You show the sign to respect the caves, but I wish you had followed it. you have your gear sitting on top of the rocks/leand up against the walls. You're not supposed to touch them in any form.

      We have a couple Sedona MTB videos and the most scenic trail is a difficult one. Each one is honestly amazing. My opinion is a little biased since I ride the soldiers pass area most often (Grand Central Trail in particular). Another scenic trail I love is is Ridge to Secret Slickrock around sunset. I haven’t filmed it but want to one day.

    Can you explain more about how to traverse from hangover trail to the arch?

    • @OutOfThisVan
      @OutOfThisVan  3 года назад +3

      On the hangover trail where it opens up to a big slickrock area there is a clearing on the right when looking at the arch through some trees. It's not a marked trail so just look for a lightly treaded path. It should take you straight up to the "Probiscus Arch". Once you're up there you can traverse over to "The Window" arch.

    • @howiewong7499
      @howiewong7499 3 года назад

      We are traveling with 2 dogs to Sedona late May and when I was researching the trails to hike, most of the popular trail do not allow dogs except for the simple Red Rock trail. Maybe the lesser known trails that you went to had a different policy. Maybe others can jump in as I don’t want to mislead but at the same time, don’t want this video to lead people to think dogs are allowed and then get caught off guard. Thanks for sharing this cool video though!

    • @OutOfThisVan
      @OutOfThisVan  3 года назад

      The most popular trails Cathedral and Devils bridge allow dogs on leash. They do have sections that non athletic dogs can’t pass but we have videos of those trails with our dog if you’re interested.
