  • We are off to visit Spain for some winter sun. In this episode we cross the channel via Eurotunnel and drive through France. We battle some rather unpleasant weather on the way.

    Watching this on October 13, 2024. Our Texas temperature reached 101 today. I run my AC in my bedroom at night and cover with a blanket. I understand getting comfortable.

    Hello, Nice to see your videos. We have an nv200 callesd NanoVan, that we have transformed ourself and we live in Quebec, Canada. Fun to see others live in a small space like ours. I enjoy your videos and visit across the ocean. Wish you nice weather and lots of adventures.

      Hi Danielle thanks for your comment. The NV200 makes a lovely camper van especially when it comes to getting into tight spaces. Good for you for converting it yourselves, that will have saved a lot. Is yours a petrol version ? We would love to be able to explore Canada in our little van. There is a youtube channel we watch called Element Van Life, a guy in American who converted his NV200. Thanks for your comment 🙂

    • @danie2300
      @danie2300 4 года назад

      Yes, it is petrol. The American model his a bit different in size. But cannot buy pop top or back seat bench with brlts in Canada for it. Nobody has the government permit to adapt it in Canada. Recon Camper in California is working on getting a Canadian permit to adapt Canadian NV200. And yes I do know Elenent Van Life. You may look at Instagram and you will see our little house on wheels. instagram.com/la_Nanovan
      And yes......Life is too short.

      Our licensing agency is clamping down and they would not change the status on our van. It does not make a lot of difference mind. We will check out your instagram page. We will have one as well soon 👍

    I've been enjoying catching up on your videos as I will soon be getting a similar van. I'm getting lots of great tips and inspiration for adventures. I must also say the production quality is superb particularly the spectacular drone footage. Well chosen music too.

    I am catching up with your France & Spain vids and enjoying them. Love your cooking ideas 😀 We will use some of them. I've noticed you have a flexible chopping board. I have looked in your equipment list on Amazon but can't see one listed, do you recommend the chopping board? Thanks 😃

      Thanks for watching and glad you are enjoying the videos. Yes we would recommend the chopping board, it is a nice size for a small campervan, not too big. I think we got it from Tesco in a pack of 2 🙂

    I am enjoying your videos, thanks very much. I have done a couple of France trips, noticed you have not mentioned ''aires de service''. This is a network of community places where campervans can stop in safety, sometimes no charge. There is a publication available Go Motorhoming All the Aires France you might find useful to help in planning of stop overs.

      Hi Mike thanks for the tips. The way France is set up for campervans and motorhomes is brilliant with that system. I wish the UK would copy it. If it had not been for Covid we would have seen a few of them on that trip 👍

    Where did you get the exact size spice rack fitting there so nicely by sink and how stop it from sliding if drive over bumps or corners etc , thanks again

    • @LifeistooshortCK
      @LifeistooshortCK  2 года назад +1

      I made it out of that plastic signage board that estate agents use. It’s cheap on Amazon and I just used a hot glue gun to stick it together. I wrapped it in grey tape to match it in with the van more. It’s held in place with a bit of velcro. The end by the bed is held closed by velcro, it opens to allow the rack to be swept out. It might not look the best but it works well and has never shifted. Inside is a little bit of foam across the front that you can’t see but that stops the bottles rattling. 👍😁
