In an age when journalism has become a publicity stunt race where acquiring views is prioritized over accurate reporting, Jaisingh Jadhav claims to be a champion for the oppressed. Even Kakasaheb, his in-law, a veteran journalist himself, considers him to be a great journalist. When the arrival of a mysterious veiled houseguest raises questions within his family Jaisingh’s true intentions become visible. The truth is, we always imagine ourselves standing behind a veil where we know nothing of ourselves and our natural abilities. This veil was pulled away from Jaisingh and his family with the arrival of Kamala.
The play written in 1980’s by Vijay Tendulkar illustrates the effects blind ambition has on yourself and the people that surround you.
