So far I have not found a better combination of voices and musical arrangement that could translate this masterpiece by Pergolesi more perfectly. Some things that caught my attention were the sublime and harmonious contrast of the soprano and mezzo voices, the perfect Latin diction with the vibrant "R", and the perfect timing of the voices. The highlight was undoubtedly in "Fac, ut ardeat cor meum". At that point the hairs on my arms stood up, I cried and laughed at the same time, due to the perfection of the voice interpretation. God bless the conductor and all the musicians who participated in this presentation.

yeh but have you tried the G.B.Pergolesi "Stabat Mater" Abbado/Ricciarelli/Valentini version?
You should also listen to the version conducted by Nathalie Sturtzmann featuring Emoke Barath and Philippe Jaroussky. It's sublime, and has some more dynamic tempi that are worth a good listen. There's also a version with Jaroussky and a young Julia Lezhneva floating on RUclips that is fantastic.

Never heard such a beautiful constrast of the two voices in this opus.
The two singers are amaizing for their particular voice quality, the Mezzosoprano has amazing potent low notes making the combination beautifully dramatic.
Loriana Castellano ha una voce meravigliosa e profonda,che delizia!grandioso stabat mater uno dei migliori in assoluto.
Zgadzam się z Tobą całkowicie. Nie znalazłam drugiego takiego wykonania, które tak by mnie zachwyciło. Idealnie dobrany sopran i mezzosopran. Loriana Castellano ma wyjątkową barwę głosu jak na mezzosopran, bardzo ciepłą.
Fenomenalne wykonanie tego dzieła. Dyrygent jak czarodziej wydobył ze śpiewaków to co najlepsze. Wykonanie jest zgodne z duchem kompozytora dlatego jest takie prawdziwe.
У певиц максимально контрастные голоса, и это создаёт очень интересный эффект. Очень хорошее исполнение.

Superb performances by both singers as well as the orchestra. The only explanation I can think of why this isn't more watched is that some of the tempos are more relaxed than in other performances, but there is no loss of vitality while there is some gain in expressiveness.

Bella esecuzione, molto sentita. Belle voci, assai gradevoli, espressive e partecipi. Questo almeno è il mio parere, visto che forse non tutti sono d'accordo, dato che cinque persone hanno indicato il pollice verso. Tuttavia sarei curioso di sapere cosa non è piaciuto loro di questa esecuzione: di solito se una cosa non mi è gradita dico il perché, altrimenti taccio per non fare la figura dello stupido.
non mi ritrovo fra le persone che hanno messo il pollice in basso, ma potrebbe essere perché l'esecuzione non è completamente corretta dal punto di vista storico, queste sono scelte del direttore

Sinceramente preferisco l'esecuzione con soprano e controtenore. Ma in Italia è un tipo di voce poco richiesta rispetto all'estero dove i controtenori sono molto in auge.

Nie zgadzam się z Twoją oceną. Obie Panie są świetne, zarówno głos sopranu jest bardzo czysty i wzniosły z doskonałą dykcją tekstu łacińskiego, jak i mezzosopran jest wspaniały z tą rzadko spotykaną barwą. Trzeba również wspomnieć o wspaniałym dyrygencie, który dowodzi orkiestrą i solistkami, wydobywając to co najlepsze z artystów. To wolne tempo tego wykonania mi odpowiada. Tak się gra Pergolesiego. Wsłuchaj się w te oklaski widowni, a zmienisz zdanie . Na koniec dodam, że to wykonanie mogę jedynie porównać z wykonaniem Stabat Mater w wersji Teresa Berganza i Mirella Freni. Tylko te dwa wykonania tego utworu Pergolesiego spełniają moje oczekiwania.
