The letters from the vanilla game made it seem like they were turned over time. Marguerite even went to the doctor before her journal entry went crazy. This was almost instant once Eveline got out of bed. Doesn't fit very well.
I wonder if what we see here is just the initial infection? And maybe the scene at the end is the next morning and they were made to believe things returned to normal as the infection spread in them and things deteriorated.
That or Eveline's mold was spreading before they found her, hence Marguerite needing the doctor.
Two theories.
1. The Bakers went in and out of infection for a few days and their memories kept getting wiped (like Mia in the main game) until Eveline had them under her complete influence.
2. When Zoe checked on Eveline, she suffered through an incredibly long hallucination that was an omen of things to come. Meaning most of the DLC didn't actually happen. This would justify why later on, Zoe stayed the hell away from Eveline even in the beginning and fit into the gradual infection notes.
Zeng Vuh The implication from that ending seems to be that the Bakers were generally sane every day for a while and at night they'd go nuts. Sort of explains how they upgraded the house, how Zoe managed to build a hideaway for herself, and how Zoe eventually figured out how the disease works which explains why she couldnt leave to get help.

MLG Joe well in the demo it's been awhile sense they've been infected so they're not just crazy at night but all the time now, at the beginning of the main game you can even see jack walking around outside following you

I feel bad with Baker family, especially Zoe
Every time Evelyn got up close to the screen, I kept having to suppress the urge to punch my screen. She is quite possibly one of the most hateable characters I've seen in awhile. "Why does everyone hate me?" Maybe because you're a monster who destroys the lives of innocent people just because you're "lonely".
She is literally a child who was made to kill and control people, she doesn’t know what she does its bad because its what she was raised to do.
Doesn’t matter. We still hate her for what she did to the Bakers.
I mean, what Eveline did was undeniably terrible, but at the same time, she was also robbed of the chance to be a normal girl before she was even born and her moral compass seems broken. She wasn’t raised to be a good kid, and while Eveline displays malice in her actions, she also doesn’t understand why she’s hated because as far as she knows, she’s doing everything she was taught and conditioned to do. Eveline is responsible for twisting the Bakers and all the murders they committed under her control, and does need to face accountability for that, but I don’t think it’s as simple as her simply being the devil for no reason. At least, that’s how I view the situation.

Eveline is a clone of Mother Miranda's daughter from RE Village, Eva. So, Eveline is not a real human. The real "Eveline", Eva was dead, killed by Spanish flu.

I liked Jack it's a shame he didn't turn back to normal after giving him the serum. He seemed like a good dad even trying to talk his wife down before the infection took over. I didn't like what happen to Zoe in the end... she was kinda cute

It wouldn't correspond to the Zoe ending where she dies a few seconds after getting on the boat and you still wake up as Mia.
i think what it's trying to say , after the dlc ending the true ending something to show us how the changes were and a taste of the last 3 years she had to survive alone

This DLC just doesn't make sense! You find out when you play the full game that it took at least a week for Eveline to fully convert the Baker's, yet they convert straight away in this.

As you see with Marguerite (in this DLC) they flip between being normal and being murderous before turning completely.

Fal Oe Because the main game takes place 3 years AFTER this DLC. So it's safe to say the infection takes time for full effect. Remember how they needed to go into town to kidnap new "family" members? Or even buy those pet supplies ?
I don't know if this is canon to the main game due to the main game stating that the bakers were turned over time while here it's near instant. maybe that's the reason it's called banned footage.

There’s a really sad scene where if you get the broken glass bottle and Jack grabs you instead of punches you, Zoe will stab him in the neck Jack will then hold onto her hand her hand, pull the bottle out then stab him self deeper and more damagingly in the neck with her had.

Really? I knew she was the granny from the moment I saw her. It was too obvious. I knew that old bitch was up to something from the get-go
How to wreck the world well without the shots she slowly lost her mind, aged and was slowly dying. But she was nothing more than a test/experiment used by tricell/tensu to see how she would perform out in the battlefield... only that instead of the t/g-virus outbreak in the raccoon city area and mansion... it happened to be in Louisiana.
I suppose the baker mansion almost has a similar vibe to the spencer mansion, both had outbreaks of infections, the infected were observed, combat data was recovered by some agent or agency with armed personell and the test subjects would be disposed of and the evidence to incrimante would be destroyed.

Is it just me or do I really feel bad for Zoe and the baker family?I hope there is a dlc in which we continue what happened to Zoe after we left her at the swamp in the good ending.
I thought that they didn't turn into those things immediately after Eveline was found based on the diary entries you can find in the main game? Or am I mistaken?
Kimber Prime well the true ending sort of alludes to the majority of the dlc being a hallucination that Zoe suffers from being in contact with evie. I could be wrong, but the way in which evie appears is very similar to that of her movements during the main story. I also think that each baker family member could have very well experienced their own individual hallucination. Maybe jake is attacking Zoe because she's attacking him in his hallucination? It's just my theory

Why didnt Zoe get infected like her family? Why didnt she try to contact/help the Ghost Adventures boys? (And all the other people that went missing around the house?) Why had that cop never visited the house before in 3 years until just suddenly? Why didnt Zoe just leave and nuke it all from space?
@Ther7 But she did get infected, thats why she got Ethan to look for the cure for herself. Only she didnt get crazy like the rest of the family and I wonder why. I dont understand how she managed to keep distance from Evelyn for 3 years. Its a game I guess.

This episode straight up ruins the mystique Eveline had going on with the Bakers. I was under the impression the corruption took place slowly over those three years. That Mia and Zoe had been able to resist but were running out of time by the time Ethan showed up. Did I misread something?

In not a hero (nothing here is confirmed i don't think) you play as Chris Redfield hunting down Lucas baker, the only survivor of the baker family who is not infected but probably will need an insane amount of therapy but can't pay for it so he might continue torturing people. Redfield will probably die and some great return from an older resident evil game will happen and kill Lucas the end
So Eveline infected the Baker Family and controlled them for the night. Then the next day, Eveline let them go so that the molded infection might comtinue to grow. I dont know, this is convoluted or Im just confused.
