I'm not ashamed to admit that the first several minutes of this movie, I thought it was real people! That tells you how good these graphics are. I'd love to see more CGI movies like this. Animation has come so far!
I could easily tell it was CGI but it was still good. But I wouldn't say I couldn't tell...it was fairly obvious - not sure if you were watching on a decent tv?
This animation is just incredible. Realistic enough that it allows for the nuances of human expression, but still stylized enough to have a unique feel. Would love to see more films done in this style but I imagine it’d feel like a novelty to many general audiences and the style would overshadow the actual story in their mind, which is kinda what happened with A Scanner Darkly.

Honestly, this song adds a whole other LEVEL of culture to this world. Most of the time, fictional cultures get a dialect of speech, basic fashion, and maybe some food styles. So much of culture is overlooked in these types of things, which I understand, but it doesn't give as much of a sense of reality to the fictional culture. Adding popular music, unwritten rules of society, and some slang brings a whole new sense of reality to a fictional universe, even if magic exists there.

I loved how this game subtly incorporated the classic final fantasy mage colors. You have the Lucis royal family which uses elemental/destructive magics wearing black and the Fleurets who use healing/support magics wearing white. Black mages and white mages.
@Luna S Difference is that Nyx was quite literally being turned to ash, and he was a very long distance from anyone who could have possibly saved him at the time. All bets are off, sad to say... And it saddens me because he had more personality than Noctis ever showed and thus would have made a much better main protagonist. At least that's what myself and several other people I know personally believe.

michael adkins the soundtrack is available on iTunes. Its about 2 discs worth of tunes (with this included naturally!), and roughly 2 and a half long altogether. I think its about 20 bucks, though I could be wrong with the price; its all worth it though!!

My wife is hard of hearing and the animation was so good that she could lip read the dialogue. That's like unheard of with animation.
