Played guitar most of my life and this is one of the most fun songs to play on the planet. Just a BLAST!!
Both parts!
This is when Mick Taylor was in the band! That’s him on the last guitar solo!!!!
The best Stones era, bar none.
They’re the kings of getting down like that
The longtime legendary Stones saxophonist Bobby Keys, all the way from Lubbock, Tx. Can’t You Hear Me Knocking is really two songs rolled into one. The back half as the story goes was a studio improv where the engineer let tape roll. Next to Gimme Shelter, this stands side by side as two of their best efforts, in a career full of great performances. Stones forever! 👈😎
This band just oozes groove.
Etta James (the great soul singer) toured with the Stones and she said those white boys had the pure black soul groove down like any of the great brothers. Straight up
she was the best!
the Stones make me happy😁
So much great music from the prolific Stones Gimme Shelter, Midnight Rambler,
Bitch, Brown Sugar, Wild Horses, Midnight Mile, Under My Thumb, and so much more
Almost 8 million views. So versatile. Brilliant song.
MORE STONES.
Greatest Rock N Roll band ever 🤘🤘
I'll agree with that statement but only during the Mick Taylor years
Easilyyy
Second to Zeppelin imo but still love em
@@findtruth5329 that’s the only other acceptable answer!!
After Zeppelin
One of my favorites I love them❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You must check out Monkey Man by the Rolling Stones.
Yes, the Rolling Stones can jam, the extended instrumental for the last 60% of this all time classic song was an impromptu performance with unreal Bobby Keys on Sax and the whole band goes off in an extended musical conversation. These guys just know how to get into a special groove, one of those bands you just get lost in their music for an escape from reality in 2023. For more Stones magic, try Midnight Rambler, studio is classic but live, it takes on a life of its own as the audience jams on in the biggest party in town
Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎷🎸🎶
Brewer and shipley Brewer and shipley they had a lot of good songs did it some good stuff
I always like the good ON ETO KE1 toke Brewer and Chipley they do a 1 toke 1 toke by Brewer
The jam at the end of this song was unplanned and unrehearsed. They just kept playing and they decided to leave it in. Bobby Keys was on the sax and Mick Taylor was on guitar. The Stones were at their best with Taylor on lead guitar.
At the end Charlie was trying to get the guys to wrap it up. He keeps giving them cues for the finale, because he knew that if the song went on too long it would never make the album in it's entirety...
Man.... you guys gotta do GIMME SHELTER by the Stones with MERRY CLAYTON singing backup. Unbelievable man. She came in at 2am, 9 months pregnant, and completely blew them away. My favorite backup vocal of all time.
I’m going to search for this one on RUclips. Sounds amazing. Ty!
Saw the Stones in New Orleans and Merry Clayton was touring with them, it was one of my favorite songs I saw live.
Yes
They’ve already heard them apparently
This whole album is fire. Sister Morphine, Moonlight Mile and all the rest.
You don’t do enough Stones look for their records from 68 to their last good album Goats Head Soup. The Mick Taylor years was when they were at their best!
absolute favorite by The Stones!!! Give Me a freestyle Jam section any day!!!!
My favorite Stones song by a mile. Thank you.
Keith on the lead on the first part! Also in the beginning of the shift Keith's rhythm was amazing!
The Rolling Stones are one of those iconic rock bands that will live forever in history like the classical composers. Love 'em or hate 'em, the Stones don't care 'cause all they want to do is rock.
If I could ever have ONLY one Stones tune to listen too ? It would be this one
(given a 2nd choice it would be Midnight Rambler)
Saxophonist is the great Bobby Keys from Lubbock Texas. RIP Bobby.
You caught on what most don't notice!
Real music, real talent, 😍
RIP Bobby Keyes, the sax man. Jim
Like your show and breakdown of lyrics……………very genuine
Early Stones were so soft groovy, but I still miss these longer jams, which were so common with the bands in 60-70s.
I hope you guys react to The Rolling Stones "Bitch" its a banger
My favorite Stones song, can really get lost in the sauce.
Rolling stones: Heartbreaker, if you haven't already.
You guys should do a reaction to Sister Morphine (also by the the Stones). Haunting song with a beautiful slide guitar sound.
The live version with Ronnie Wood shining on guitar from about a dozen years ago is dope, pun intended. Best version of this chill classic I have ever heard.
The first part refers to the night people, those who go to clubs and are having a good time. They dress flashy (late 70s style), wearing satin shoes, plastic boots, etc. I think you're right, that he's trying to get to his dealer. I never thought about it. We just listened to songs and enjoyed the music, didnt sit around trying to figure them out. I always thought he was talking to a girlfriend, like when he says "help me baby, I've been kicking, help me please". Anyway, I enjoyed watching you two digging the song and music so much. Goes to prove the Stones are GOOD ! Bye!
My fav Stones song, by far!! It's such a jam session!!
My sister and her husband are 6 years younger than me, have 2 copies of this album! They really like the Stones. - I miss cover art and liner notes on albums - like this one. Some CD’s have this (microscopic)-but with mp3 downloads you’re lucky if you get the full title.❤
That's for sure! They can do anything from hard rock, blues, funk, disco, reggae, pop, country and are still doing it better than bands alot
younger🤟
@@nb.18 My sister and her husband have celebrated their wedding anniversary at least 3 times by attending a Stones Concert-one in which they didn’t actually have a seat-the were given specific spots to stand at the edge of the stage - they were in their late 40’s or early 50’s. LOL.
@@flautalee3090 I didn't get to see them until the voodoo lounge tour had nosebleed seats but still loved it. Took my teenage daughter who I brainwashed and she still loves them too
@@nb.18 I’m still waiting to see them-glad you got to. Nosebleed seats are just fine.
Best reaction pair on YT, love yall
My all time favorite stones song! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Love the Jazz/Rock Fusion at the end!
Never been a huge fan but they have a couple of tunes I like...and I respect them for their talent & success!
One of my top 5 Stones songs...😍😍😍
One of the Stone s best Albums
Sticky Fingers one of the Stones best albums along with Let It Bleed and Exile on Main Street. Can’t You Hear Me Knocking is the opening for the movie Blow with Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz
These dudes are in their 80's and just put out an album last year. They are currently on tour atm. But Jagger says it is about time to retire after this world tour. Ya think? LoL
Tasha, quit worrying about the lyrics, lol, just listen to the music! This banger is on their great album Sticky Fingers. Another song I think you'd like is "Time Waits For No One." The Stones have been around since 1962 and have a huge music catalog.
@@UniversalBlackRocker I just meant that sometimes reading the lyrics takes away from the music. Just sayin'.
It's no secret that from Brown Sugar to Moonlight Mile, that Sticky Fingers is a dope sick album masquerading as a risque sexual romp. A brilliant subversion of the standard practice of hiding sexuality in music of the time. Context and meaning is important.
I love the computer look-up while listening. THAT'S GREAT.
Ooh, Tash. That's a nice little shimmy you got going there. Boys in the club thinking "dayum".
Another Stones masterpiece
My husband loved the Rolling Stones as a teenager but according to his opinion their sound really changed in the middle 70s and it was not to his liking, even so he still saw them twice in our hometown of Chicago. His favorite album released in either 64 or 65 was "Rolling Stones 12x5." Meaning twelve tracks by the five members. Very bluesy!
He was a “No Jones, no Rolling Stones” guy. Lots of people felt that way. For me, the band were at their peak when Mick Taylor joined. That’s when they became The Stones.
@@sukie584 I concur
YES! My favorite Stones song; such a kick your a$$/get outta my way opening, then right into one of the best jam sessions ever. LOVED your reaction! Another funky Stones song: “Monkey Man” ❤
This was out of the relm....love it all...but I would like more more....can I hear ya knocking!??
A favourite of Stones fans - and the band occasionally will play this live.
Never heard this long long version...thanks!
Top down, radio up, tele-poles flyin' by. One o' their best. There's those blue lights in the rear view again.
Rolling Stones, 1969. Brian Jones leaves the Stones and dies in his swimming pool a couple of weeks later. John Mayall of the Bluesbreakers recommends the Stones hire Mick Taylor, then only 20-years-old.
1969-1974. The the peak period of Stones music. The only variable: Mick Taylor. Now largely forgotten, except for those of us who appreciate artistry. Thanks, MT.
Mick Taylor on guitar was the funkiest guitar of all Stones' songs.
Parties are goin on everywhere. Mick is trying to get in.
Gotta get that fix!!!
Love the Stones for the most part. They have done some stuff I don't care for, but look how prolific they are. The first part of this tune is so so, but the 2nd half is so soulful.
Love that dirty guitar! Thanks
Wicked Wicked Wicked song - nice pick ; ) great reaction
Watts is so smooth on the drums on this
World’s greatest rock n roll band
No, Zeppelin is...
I have a recommendation for yall if I could please... Timothy by the Bouys... A very catchy tune from 1971. But, pay very close attention to the Lyrics. Thats all I can say....... Enjoy!
Good job, you got it!
Sweet Virginia
Tumbling Dice
Happy
Turd on the Run
The PEAK STONES
When I was young before I got into heavier music these guys and the who were my goto music
Stones at their best
IDK the story the song tells, but I heard that the band played the song in studio and at some point. they thought the tape stopped recording and the band just kept on jammin' for the last half of the song.
Mick Taylor on Lead Guitar, Bobby Keys on Sax!
Anything from the STICKY FINGERS ALBUM!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Damn, man, y'all missed the first several seconds--arguably the best part of this incredible tune! Do-over! LOL!
If Icould rank The Stones songs, this wouldn't be it, lol. Wild Horses would be #1 or "2. "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction".
only richards could have wrote and played that bad ass guitar rhythm.
I f-ING love this song. May be my favorite guitar riff ever, BUT am I the only one who wishes that after the instrumental break that they went back to the verse and chorus so we could hear that riff one more time???
I was thinking the same thing! Still an absolutely great song!
Hey guys I just looked this up on Songfacts Mick says he's not even sure what the song is about I mean there's some drug references and I think a lot of it is about sex he's he's asking her to throw him down the keys and he's out in the street growling I don't know that's what it sounds like to me you never know what a what a songwriter is writing about sometimes it's just tongue-in-cheek
"I've been kickin" means feeling withdrawal symptoms and needing a fix of heroin....
It's a jam hell yeah! But daaaamn you guys cut off the badass guitar intro!🤣👍🏼It's all good tho. Respect to you both.
When you kick heroin your deathly sick and will do anything to not be sick, hence “ I’ve been kicking, on my knees”
sounds like you know from experience
@@kenhoyer8601 almost true. I struggled with opioid addiction for several years. God bless!!
Whoa... You guys reviewed a lot of songs since this one. But it just popped up as I was listening to this song. Come on now... What is this song about? It's about a dude that wants s&x. The jam is after she throws down the key. They were doing it. The ending even sounds like a climax. You can be "kicking" for anything addictive. Drugs, alcohol or s&x.
A key = kilo
+ cocaine eyes + speed freaks?
I don't know man, H feels like the big O as well.
Judging by the ending jam I assume the dude scored.
Of course he did. No charlie, no Stones.
Sweet Virginia
White guys can groove we just need Devine intervention. Don’t happen to often 😁
TNT, the singer isn't craving coke his is craving a certain woman!
No, Zeppelin.
The Metallica logo seems to be a little all center to your right.. Was that black market?
Junkie? Nah.
As a mental health professional it's very ignorant and offensive to call someone a junkie. First of all, addiction is a disease and nobody chooses to be an addict and it's not a very pleasant lifestyle. Secondly, all addicts have an underlying mental illness and are self-medicating to feel better or try to feel normal. It's sad that people always judge things they don't know instead of having compassion for people that are suffering.
Who is it offensive to? You or a junkie? Because a junkie is not going to care or let alone know what someone on a reaction channel is going to call them. He's got bigger shit to worry about.
Get off the woke wagon. Some people actually need to get their feelings hurt before they will even try bettering themselves. Counseling will work for some, and others will use it as a form of enabling.
Bitching in a youtube comment is ignorant at best.
Amen Brandy
@@UniversalBlackRocker Go pound sand.
You nailed it 100%
Why does she have to keep Talking!?? He is way cool and just LISTENS. Comment After the song is over is My Advice. BLAH BLAH !! UGH!!
Baby LOW blow, brother brother. Johnny Depp was in a movie called BLO. W. This was in that movie. What was a real movie brother? That was about the real world everyday's what I saw jim jay I'll die
Stones late 60's to the mid 70's kicked ass !!!
