Mrs Shirley you are adorable and I admire your great job. I can tell you are and excellent teacher. Because yoy show your teaching skills on these videos. I am a college professor as well and love to see great teaching presentations. In my opinion the finish of your projects looks very neat and clean. In a simple word very proffessional. Thanks for your love. Tx
Thank you very much Mrs Sherill for this video. The the technique for the zipper pouch with no seam at the bottom is what I have been looking for for years. 💕
These are fun to make. Last spring I wanted to get over the fear of zippers. So I made a bunch of small bags. It was a lot of fun. I also made a bunch of the tissue covers. They were also fun to make, and a great for using up scrap fabric .
Hello Sherill, another super cute scrap buster! You explain so well and you are very easy to follow! I made the tissue hold first now on to the zipper pouch! These will make lovely gifts.
I just found your channel and I am so impressed with how professional your videos are. I did trainings and presentations for a living and am taken aback at the amateur quality of so many channels with many subscribers. Your instructions are clear and easy to follow. I have sewed for years but I like your videos for quick items to make.
Watching this tutorial, my thoughts went to adding a matching facemask. A full COVID package for gifts! 😃 Thank you, now I know what to give for the Holliday.
Your pattern for the tissue holder is so much easier than the pattern I currently use, can’t wait to try yours and see how well it comes out. I love your projects!!!!🙂
I love idea of making matching set. I found a different way of making a tissue pack holder but its a bit confusing so I do it wrong a lot. I slit the packs on the back to get a straight line to match the slit on the tissue cover. I dont slit all the way to the edges.
Mil gracias! Muchísimas felicidades por el nieto tan hermoso!!! Es una bendición de Dios. Besitos, abrazos y bendiciones desde el principado de Asturias España ⚘🎅⛄🎄
Thank you so much! You've given me such a great idea! I'm thinking of making both pouches, and add a mask in the zippered pouch for a great set for Christmas gifts!
Hi Vickie. I haven't been using anything. I do put my bobbins in plastic bobbin cases, and I store my thread on wooden racks on the wall. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Hi - Thank you for this great video :) I am a beginner - how do I measure a zipper correctly? You recomand 7 inch zipper but 8 1/2 inchx9 inches fabric
Vivi, go to about 8:45 in the video, notice when she turns the pouch wrong side out she pins the raw edges together then she says to sew a 5/8" seam down both sides of the pouch. The 5/8" seams brings to pouch size down to match the size of her zipper. Hope this helps, if not just keep watching until it makes sense to you, trust me it will click after repeated watching.
