Those were cutting edge graphics back then! 😂 You had to be there bro. I could've used that CR-78 plugin last year when I was remaking "in the Air Tonight" from scratch.
Doing a limited features demo is one of the stupidest decisions plugin makers can do, like what, you expect me to just assume all the rest of paid hidden features are worth the price and I just need to trust you?
It seems to be standard pratice seems to work to otherwise plugins wouldn't be made if people weren't profiting off them it's not that dumb at all its for copyright protection .. plugins get pirated at a huge rate much higher than movies or games .. the amount of pirated downloads vs sales has the pirating out numbering them a demo with limited features is harder to crack u can legitimately make the demo so it dosent even have those features coded into it .. that way a cracking team has to at the very least buy your plugin to crack it a full featured demo is much easier to crack

You're making a fairly weird complaint about the CR78 plugin, not being able to load your own samples, people choose the CR78 for its particular sound, this would be like buying an emulation of a JUNO 106 and complaining that your can't load your own sounds into it . . . or buying an emulation of an 808 and complaining that you can't load LINN Drum samples into it.
not exactly the same because when programming a drum pattern you may want a combination of those synthesized sounds with your own without having to utilize an extra audio track or device
