They should have done a pre-order. Terrible marketing and website admins! So frustrating for so many people that things are sold out in July. They need to fire employees who are hoarding the hot items and reselling for ridiculous prices!

In case it wasn't evident, employees are allowed to purchase the company's products at a discount as a fringe benefit to their employment. It's a personal perk and was never meant to be for profit. To hoard and resell at 4-5x on top of what you said was already an 8x company mark up is unethical and flat out wrong. Bath and Body Works pay overhead costs on their products and pay taxes to the IRS as a legal licensed business. I highly doubt these employees report their side hustle income to the IRS which btw is considered fraudulent and also illegal. So no, there is no justifying this quick buck practice and any employee doing this should get fired!
It's definitely frustrating that people are buying these items in bulk and reselling. I don't and would never purchase an item from a reseller because I think it's a way of taking advantage of other people. This happens so so much, not just with B&BW but so many other companies, as well. It takes the fun out of it and eventually I just give up searching.

That’s crazy! I wonder if people are buying them out or if they’re holding stuff in the back to wait to put out again when it gets closer to Halloween? I have no idea! I know some At Home locations are withholding their Halloween decorations until it gets closer to Halloween since people have been buying them out and they’re running out of stock already. 🤔
They are doing Halloween too too early for one. They need to just admit the first run was a test and more will be available on September as they shouldve been to begin with.

it’s crazy what people will do for money. it’s the same way with starbucks launches. people will buy cups in bulk and sell them for 2x or 3x more than the original price. ridiculous!!!
oh my goodness, yes! I’ve been looking for B&BW’s Halloween wallflower and candle holders online and both will go from $80-150. It’s absolutely insane and completely aggravating! Especially for those who save and save and save just to be able to buy the treats they want and deserve 😩

I stated that it is indeed immensely aggravating when a product from B&BW’s, or any company, is sold out and then resold on websites/apps, for 3x the original retail price by people who are inconsiderate and greedy.

Its not wuite aa fantasy as Halloween but I live it just the same. I have seen youtubers opened live and they received broken candle holders not horrible but broken none the less. I left my one star review on their website and proud of it. They totally deserve these bad reviews. Since Monday this has been a fiasco and now I don't think B&B Works knows how to fix this mess they created.
I asked BBW on IG if they are making more witch hands and they said as of now, no, but they will "pass it on", but they said that last year about the candleabra pedestal and it never restocked, so I don't really have much hope.. but agree don't take it out on employees!!
I was able to get the headless butler pedestal at my local BBW store. I really hope I can get the witch headless pedestal, I also want the witch hand but I’ve kind of given up hope on that item.
Hi, I don’t think u missed out on the hand online. I’m constantly checking the website and I saw it pop up and got the low stock error when I tried to put it in my cart. Their website is glitchy. Every time any of the candle holders pops up, error. Except for the bat, which is not cute and looks cheap. I have managed to get the globe, hand, butler and drip holder. But every piece has some kind of minor imperfections. Guess that’s what you get from mass production. I think the theming/designs this year are spectacular, execution a huge fail. They should limit all sales online and in stores, take preorders and have more stock. Also release at the exact same time across the nation and no favors for employees friends before launch day. Ugh. The reseller thing has gotten so out of hand. I was trying to get the lantern ghost from Cracker Barrel and every time it was sold out and then I just saw one listed on Mercari for $200 when it originally cost $50 and it sold like within a day2 at most for the full $200. I live a bit out of the way from all the stores selling the stuff for Halloween and it takes more for me to get out there and this has made it almost impossible. I’m hoping I can still get the Globe cause that is what I have been saving for. Thank you for addressing the problem 🙂

I understand the frustration completely! I can’t keep going out to the stores daily with me being pregnant. It’s just way too tiring for me at this point. I feel like I’m living the Xbox and PS5 situation from last year all over again but this time B&BW style 😭

My problem is with the people that go to the stores and buy up all of the popular things and then go and sell them on Mercari for a ridiculous amount of money. At first I was like hey, more power to them but now it has gotten to the point we’re ppl can’t buy the things they want because of this. I don’t have a lot of money but every now and then I get something special but now it’s hard to do even that because of these ppl. I ordered four Halloween candles this past Friday for the buy 2 get 2 sale. I got an email today that all of them were cancelled and they just gave me a gift card. I was so sad :( This Halloween for bath and body works so far has been a fail lol

@@NeselleFNardo I completely agree. I was not expecting it with the candles either. It is frustrating because it was the b2g2 sale and I had a 20% off and they only refunded me for what I paid. I get that, but I would have to wait until the next b2g2 sale and happen to have a coupon to get the same price. I wish they would just send me the candles when they come back in stock instead. Ugh, I didn’t even think of how the sale would impact that!! I’m really just super shocked that that happened. I did hear from several people saying that their stores were pulling the Halloween displays off during the sale since I guess the Halloween candles weren’t technically supposed to be included? I have no idea about that, but that’s just what I heard! So maybe that could be it as well? Either way, there’s some major inconsistencies with BBW lately. Yeah they canceled my vampire blood mini candle that was absolutely in stock. They claimed they didn’t have one. You can still buy them online and all stores have them.

I only went to one of my BBW and they didn't have much. They had a few black cat candle accessories. They had one hand, one snow globe, one clear skull, the Halloween scents and some hand sanitizer holders. I was disappointed. There's people online selling Halloween items for 3 times the amount of what they paid for it.
Went to 3 stores . The first two had some candles but that was it . The 3rd store was about 2 hours away from me . There I found the spider candle holders (a few ) and just 2 pedestals of the gold drip one . I was lucky to find what I wanted so I bought my 2 spider holders I wanted for myself and one pedestal for my sister in law and left the other but haven’t seen anything else in the stores .it’s frustrating seeing all the ridiculous resellers but it’s a given with limited edition stuff . I had the witch hand in my cart during the drop Friday morning, but hesitated and got the skull instead lol. I can’t believe I somehow was able to score what I think was the last witch hand in my area though😭😭I really hope they restock for everyone.
I've been to multiple B&BW stores near me... No luck with the witch hand and I only saw one gentleman bust which my sister picked up and one clear skull, which she also picked up. B&BW has been so disappointing this year.
Just think if they werent having to replace or refund the broken hand candle holder their be would more available to sell. My location had the Skull, plenty of candles Halloween wallflowers I spoke with the manager she was helpful in letting know when shipment days were even offered to hold the hand candle holder when it came in I told her they should have a waiting list. What they should of done was say limit quantity item then leading people to believe they can purchase it and then saying low in stock once you try to put in your cart. Poor marketing .And dont get me started on the resellers I would never let them have my money why they make such a huge profit
I never and I mean never shop on B&BW’s website, the reviews are atrocious, most people claiming their items come damaged or don’t come at all. In store however is a different experience at least at my location the staff go above and beyond. My B&BW was pretty well stocked only missing the witch hands and the headless butler. I didn’t really look for the drippy candleholder but they could have had it. Had tons of candies, hand sanitizers, body care, and wallflowers. Last year was horrible for me they completely sold out of the bat hand sanitizer holder before Halloween and never restocked it again. They didn’t have the candy corn sanitizer holder at my location, however I was able to buy it for a reasonable price from someone, and I got it pretty quickly. I can understand completely why there are so many bad reviews on the website, they need to step up their game.

Yesss!!! I remember I tried to purchase the “Hero” Men’s scent in a shower gel for Hubs and it kept giving me that error message and I was like “Really? 😑” Maybe BBW needs a new system or web host for their site! And I agree, it makes me so sad to see broken candles and pedestals 😢
My store says they get shipment Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I’ve been calling almost everyday which I feel a little bad but like you said they don’t know what’s coming in shipment until they arrive. I was able to get the water globe candle holder, haunted house plug in and a ghost plug in but on 3 separate store visits. Kinda frustrating they don’t get everything at once but I’ll keep checking everyday because I really really really want the crystal ball wall flower plug in. I haven’t seen anyone post with it yet so I’m assuming it hasn’t been released anywhere yet. 😫
I know that feeling!! I hate calling the stores daily (I literally have a list of like 6+ stores I call lol) and I always start out with “I hate to be that customer that constantly calls” and they’re thankfully sweet about it! This is just getting a little too out of hand for my liking at this point. I even get exhausted calling lol I know which one you’re talking about! I haven’t seen it in my stores either!

Ehhh I don’t think it’s a big deal. It’s not the end of the world. What I’m thinking (I work in customer service for a different company) is that the servers for the website are overloaded and the people on the backend cannot keep up of what is in stock and what is out of stock. It’s no ones fault. This is first world problems at its finest. Please don’t be rude to associates or anyone in customer service because we have 0 control over stuff like this.

I went to 3 stores in all this week. And I saw everything in the stores except the hand and the monster. Today Friday at 12:00 at the mall they had the new conservatory wall flower the crooked pedestal the globe the bat the butler not the maid. So I have seen everything but the only thing I wanted was the hand which I did get on drop at 5 am last Friday and mine was not broke I got lucky.

Resellers can't make money if people don't buy from them. I refuse to pay double or triple the price for these items.

They take a candle that costs them around 1-5 dollars to make (if they can sell them for 6, they obviously cost less than that to make) and price them at 24.50 (a 8x markup), then they should be the real villians here (even a sale price of 15 dollars is still a 5x markup). It doesn’t make sense to get mad at employees who are making minimum wage but be perfectly fine with a 1 billion dollar company doing the exact same thing.
@@georgebalan6201 obviously you did not read what I wrote. I have no problem with the employees and I am always nice to them. I don’t have a problem with the company itself either. My problem is with the people that go to the stores and buy up all of the popular things and then go and sell them on Mercari for a ridiculous amount of money. At first I was like hey, more power to them but now it has gotten to the point we’re ppl can’t buy the things they want because of this. I don’t have a lot of money but every now and then I get something special but now it’s hard to do even that because of these ppl. So basically to correct you my problem is never with the employees nor with capitalism

I ordered four Halloween candles this past Friday for the buy 2 get 2 sale. I got an email today that all of them were cancelled and they just gave me a gift card. I was so sad :( This Halloween for bath and body works so far has been a fail lol

Such an amazing product line up, but the launch itself seems to be a disaster right now.
@@NeselleFNardo I completely agree. I was not expecting it with the candles either. It is frustrating because it was the b2g2 sale and I had a 20% off and they only refunded me for what I paid. I get that, but I would have to wait until the next b2g2 sale and happen to have a coupon to get the same price. I wish they would just send me the candles when they come back in stock instead. Ugh, I didn’t even think of how the sale would impact that!! I’m really just super shocked that that happened. I did hear from several people saying that their stores were pulling the Halloween displays off during the sale since I guess the Halloween candles weren’t technically supposed to be included? I have no idea about that, but that’s just what I heard! So maybe that could be it as well? Either way, there’s some major inconsistencies with BBW lately. Yeah they canceled my vampire blood mini candle that was absolutely in stock. They claimed they didn’t have one. You can still buy them online and all stores have them.

I only went to one of my BBW and they didn't have much. They had a few black cat candle accessories. They had one hand, one snow globe, one clear skull, the Halloween scents and some hand sanitizer holders. I was disappointed. There's people online selling Halloween items for 3 times the amount of what they paid for it.
Went to 3 stores . The first two had some candles but that was it . The 3rd store was about 2 hours away from me . There I found the spider candle holders (a few ) and just 2 pedestals of the gold drip one . I was lucky to find what I wanted so I bought my 2 spider holders I wanted for myself and one pedestal for my sister in law and left the other but haven’t seen anything else in the stores .it’s frustrating seeing all the ridiculous resellers but it’s a given with limited edition stuff . I had the witch hand in my cart during the drop Friday morning, but hesitated and got the skull instead lol. I can’t believe I somehow was able to score what I think was the last witch hand in my area though😭😭I really hope they restock for everyone.
I've been to multiple B&BW stores near me... No luck with the witch hand and I only saw one gentleman bust which my sister picked up and one clear skull, which she also picked up. B&BW has been so disappointing this year.
Just think if they werent having to replace or refund the broken hand candle holder their be would more available to sell. My location had the Skull, plenty of candles Halloween wallflowers I spoke with the manager she was helpful in letting know when shipment days were even offered to hold the hand candle holder when it came in I told her they should have a waiting list. What they should of done was say limit quantity item then leading people to believe they can purchase it and then saying low in stock once you try to put in your cart. Poor marketing .And dont get me started on the resellers I would never let them have my money why they make such a huge profit
I never and I mean never shop on B&BW’s website, the reviews are atrocious, most people claiming their items come damaged or don’t come at all. In store however is a different experience at least at my location the staff go above and beyond. My B&BW was pretty well stocked only missing the witch hands and the headless butler. I didn’t really look for the drippy candleholder but they could have had it. Had tons of candies, hand sanitizers, body care, and wallflowers. Last year was horrible for me they completely sold out of the bat hand sanitizer holder before Halloween and never restocked it again.
They didn’t have the candy corn sanitizer holder at my location, however I was able to buy it for a reasonable price from someone, and I got it pretty quickly. I can understand completely why there are so many bad reviews on the website, they need to step up their game.

Yesss!!! I remember I tried to purchase the “Hero” Men’s scent in a shower gel for Hubs and it kept giving me that error message and I was like “Really? 😑” Maybe BBW needs a new system or web host for their site! And I agree, it makes me so sad to see broken candles and pedestals 😢
My store says they get shipment Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I’ve been calling almost everyday which I feel a little bad but like you said they don’t know what’s coming in shipment until they arrive. I was able to get the water globe candle holder, haunted house plug in and a ghost plug in but on 3 separate store visits. Kinda frustrating they don’t get everything at once but I’ll keep checking everyday because I really really really want the crystal ball wall flower plug in. I haven’t seen anyone post with it yet so I’m assuming it hasn’t been released anywhere yet. 😫
I know that feeling!! I hate calling the stores daily (I literally have a list of like 6+ stores I call lol) and I always start out with “I hate to be that customer that constantly calls” and they’re thankfully sweet about it! This is just getting a little too out of hand for my liking at this point. I even get exhausted calling lol I know which one you’re talking about! I haven’t seen it in my stores either!
Also, the conservatory is NO WHERE to be found. Just an older wallflower.. Sooo disappointed.

Today I got the haunted candelabra diffuser/projector which I’ve never seen online but the store had it, the crystal ball 🔮 diffuser that lights up/and the haunted conservatory diffuser
This is so annoying , there’s so many collectors , resellers and hoarders I have the same problem with Starbucks cups ! People are delusional and take things out of pocket . Ehhh I don’t think it’s a big deal. It’s not the end of the world. What I’m thinking (I work in customer service for a different company) is that the servers for the website are overloaded and the people on the backend cannot keep up of what is in stock and what is out of stock. It’s no ones fault. This is first world problems at its finest. Please don’t be rude to associates or anyone in customer service because we have 0 control over stuff like this.

I went to 3 stores in all this week. And I saw everything in the stores except the hand and the monster. Today Friday at 12:00 at the mall they had the new conservatory wall flower the crooked pedestal the globe the bat the butler not the maid. So I have seen everything but the only thing I wanted was the hand which I did get on drop at 5 am last Friday and mine was not broke I got lucky.
They’re no longer on the site as of 4:00 they must have taken all this feedback into consideration
