  • Vedanta class taught by Swami Tadatmananda at Arsha Bodha Center. Selected verses. Videos of all classes taught so far are available here: • Upadesha Sahasri - One...
Text with Swami Tadatmananda's translation available here: arshabodha.org/teachings/upad...
Vedanta is not a subject matter, a spiritual doctrine, or a philosophy - it is a method of self-inquiry (atma-vichara) based on the wisdom (vidya) of the ancient rishis, as found in the Upanishads, a part of the sacred Vedic scriptures. This method can lead you to discover your true, divine nature (sat-chit-ananda atma) and gain moksha, freedom from suffering.
Swami Tadatmananda is a traditionally-trained teacher of Advaita Vedanta, meditation, and Sanskrit. For more information, please see: www.arshabodha.org/

Salutations, Guruji! Excellent class, thank you. Yes, experiences can be misleading. Self knowledge (atma-jnanam) leads to a revised understanding of all experiences even as they remain unchanged. Om Shanti 🙏🏼

Excellent class Swamiji! Thank you for a very helpful metaphor with heated iron rod, it is spot on. The proximity of consciousness and mind is so tight, they are as interwoven, therefore our struggle with misidentification. 🙏

A very difficult text to understand by routine listeners. But you made at least few hundreds of people able to understand this text.
May be you are wise enough in your reasoning for omission of few verses of Sankaras refutation of other spiritual traditions , but for pupil like me you are the only source who can clarify the advantages of advaita Vedanta over other traditions .
Kindly enlighten us with your knowledge and wisdom.
One of your ardent followers 🙏

You write a "scripture," then refer to it, then claim that must be true because it is written in it!

FYI, as noted in a previous lesson, scriptural (i.e., Upanishadic) revelations about our true nature are “apaurusheya”, i.e., not the product of human reasoning. Hence, your assumption about human authorship of the Upanishads is erroneous. Further, I am confident that you cannot disprove any Upanishadic assertions about our true nature. If you are up to the challenge, I invite you to present a reasoned refutation of at least one such Upanishadic assertion, e.g., Aham Brahmasmi (I am absolute existence aka is-ness).
