You're an absolute lifesaver, sorted a very annoying issue in minutes. Sorry to see you had to peel so much back to find the wires. Your van looks great!
No worries mate, glad it's helped someone who was in the same position as me. Sorry the video was in 5 parts, I couldn't figure out how to join them all into one 😅
@@maxjenkins460So fast forward a few days and I seem to have replaced one problem with another. The inner handles for the sliding and rear door either don't work or work intermittently. Did you encounter this by any chance?
@@rainy6027 ah, that sounds annoying! I haven't had that problem no, mine have been working fine since. Is it the lock/unlock function itself that isn't working or the door handles?
So you're having trouble opening the doors from inside the van? Even with the old tvg deadlocks the inner handles should be able to open a locked door from the inside of the van. Unless the child lock is on?
You deserve a medal,,,,,, my tvg locking system not working cant even get in to the back of the van. Can you open the doors from the inside with the tvg system. Many thanks
I imagine the tvg system is designed so that you can still open the doors simply by pulling the inside handle if you're locked inside the van. What's your current situation? TVG locks broken and have a bulkhead blocking access into the back of the van?
The sliding door was the rear door was in the rear door pillar I’m going to attempt my first you tube video later today when I’ve finished tracing the power supply
@@Stuartsdeliveryvan ah that's good to know, I unfortunately looked there first when searching for mine and had to remove some of the panelling and carpet lining to get to it 😅, just to discover it wasn't there. Please do share a video, that will come in handy for others. By the way, did you find the rest of my videos? This is part 1 of 5 and I only seem to be getting comments on this one.
Hi mate. Bit of a while since you've uploaded this but wondered if you could clarify something for me... The wires that went to the bottom step, were they for the back door? And the ones above the slide door were for the slide door itself?
Hello, sorry for the late reply. So you found the TVG connection for the side sliding door under the step? But didn't manage to find the connection in the bundle of wires running through the cavity in the roof above the step? If it isn't there I was told by TVG the connection will either be in the wires above the rear doors, or in one of the side pillars of the rear doors, most likely whichever side the handle is on
The best advice I can give would be to follow the wires from the TVG control units, mine were mounted underneath the passenger seats, it should be easy enough to follow the wires back from there to where they have been connected to the original central locking wires. When I found mine they were tightly wrapped up in black insulation tape, along with the snipped central locking wires. Good luck!

Mine was different for the sliding door just had to unplug there connections and plug the original back together
No way! So they connected them with male and female connectors? Rather than cut and soldering? That's handy!
Were they in the same place?

Hey mate, sorry for the late response. The wires below the step are for the side door and the wires above for the rear doors, hope this helps.
