Oh yeah, definitely. I guess it's the combination of flashing lights, alarms sounding and then the barriers lowering for a train is just interesting for me, and many others.
It's odd to think that the barriers make more noise than the alarms here, especially as the alarms aren't even that quiet! Anyway, I certainly like the rural location there - quite a contrast to what's seen at those level crossings in King's Lynn around ten miles along the line. Quality video of a nice crossing! 👍
As I live not too far away from this crossing, I have filmed a few trains here also. I was going to suggest that the 2 crossings in Lynn (Tennyson Avenue & Extons Road) might be worth a look, but you have already mentioned them.
Mervyn Partin I filmed both of those crossings on this date too, along with the one near Wiggenhall St Germans, the other crossing in Watlington and the ones in Downham Market. I've already published a video from the Tennyson Avenue crossing in Kings Lynn.
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel Thank you for the reply. I've just searched your videos and have now found and watched the Tennyson Avenue crossing. I used to traverse that one regularly on the way to my employment in Extons Road- often very congested. I once had to wait for 2 passenger trains and a freight to pass.
No you don't see many anymore. I was surprised to see several crossings on this line with halogen lights still as they're several years old. I usually travel a lot to film different crossings in different areas. Throughout the summer this year I went on several day-trips and at least three holidays too, travelling to Lincolnshire, Somerset, Dorset and a few other places. I'm planning to film more crossings in the Midlands next year.
Yeah, the halogens look a bit old so was surprised to see them still here. The barriers need to be looked at though as they made quite a noise when lowering lol
Yeah, there's four crossings within a few miles on this line to Kings Lynn which all still have halogen warning lights to my surprise. I already published a video of one of the crossings in Kings Lynn already which has some really old halogen lights. These barriers probably need some maintenance when the halogen lights are eventually replaced.
Thanks lol, but the halogen lights on this line are older than the ones on the Marston Vale. You can tell by the backs of the lights and by the fact they all have clipped-on borders. Most on the Marston Vale still have the original light boards and even some have been replaced, as opposed to these which are all still standing 😉
there is just something about level crossings that satisfies
Why

@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel same
Great video, those barriers sound like they have seen better days, and are in need of renewing
Thanks 😊 Yeah it looks like the barriers are just in-need of maintenance or replacement as the halogen lights
Cannot believe you still active these days! Keep up the good work bro!
Also greeting from Vietnam!
Yeah, I intend to keep this channel active for many years or decades yet. Thank you 😁👍

UK Level Crossings & Trains Channel Thanks! 😎 The alarms are really quiet here, I thought they'd be louder as it's quite rural.

👍 Yeah Tennyson Avenue is quite a busy road. I guess traffic would be more of a problem if there was more trains in and out of Kings Lynn.
Don’t see many hallows anymore also how did you get so much footage of lights from around the country?

Nice hallies!
Yes, indeed 😁
Nice vid!
Thank you 😁
Great video
Thank you 😊
Good crossing, halogens are in great condition, barriers are in good condition well there SPX anyway so there not old lol 😆

@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel from knowledge, they will need a top up on hydraulic fluid, these will make a noise anyway as they are long barriers
Oh, cool, you got some old halogen lights! Those barriers are pretty squeaky, somebody ought to grab some WD40 or something.

Nice, but Marston fail have ones at most crossings hahaha

Nice video! You should’ve checked out UKLCS&T’s video.
Thanks 😊 Yes, I know him so I watch all his videos
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel no problem.
Spectacular catch! 😄
Thank you! 😁👍
lol two huge barriers
Yeah, there isn't any space on the left-side for another two barriers so there's two long ones on the right
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel Long barriers and OHLE seems like a bad combination.
I think it needs greasing
Yeah sounds like it lol
Alarm’s still dodgy
Slightly although I couldn't hear it much
This sound old 👍
Yeah, the barriers do sound like they need a bit of work
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel very good
