We have been visiting Bulgaria for 6 years in a row now ( travelling from Scotland on a motorbike ) and have fallen in love with the country so I'll be watching this with interest as the idea of spending more time there is very appealing .
The people, the scenery, climate and attitude are amazing and we have been thinking about a simple property or small plot of land so it would be important to find the right location before committing...have 4 weeks planned for there next year 🤔

Hi, we started visiting Bulgaria while on route to Greece or Turkey so we only ever manage a week or so to stay there.
Motocamp at Idilevo is our ' go to ' for a few days but we like to travel around...except to the coast ( so far ) as we prefer to avoid tourists !@@jordan9339
A great property and a very nice organization of it. Congrats! 2 suggestions. It would be beneficial if you do not put the chopped wood direcly on the floor but on wooden pallets as that will improve the air circulation and will help the drying process. Also in the 2 black barrels, for the summer hot water, if you enclose them in small glass/transparent-poly enclosures (dome shape will be the best), that will increase considerably 50%-80% the heat retention capabilities. Enjoy your wonderful place with your family through the seasons as everyone is unique by itself.

Hey,, you are not far from us. Bulgaria is a good place for house projects and can be a heaven for opportunities if you are handzy. Love your builds. We just started. We have a Vacuum-Tube water heating unit I installed with my wife this summer.. way to go with those energy and global warming issues :)

Did you plant those fruit trees, or were you lucky enough to inherit mature fruit trees when you bought the property?
Hi Rayne! We were lucky enough to inherit the trees.. they are well established and give us lots of fruit yearly 🤗
Have you thought of No Dig on your veggie patch
Hi, our soil has a lot of clay in it. We want to put more compost and manure through it to break it up...We have plastic strips we want to put down eventually, so we don't have to rotavate and bring up weed seeds..
Good idea, as you know it’s tough working in BG with this clay soil. I reverted to all raised bed areas now after 6 yrs of being here. Good luck and look forward to more videos
