In general Dreamcatcher songs are super complex and I am not even talking about the visual representations, sometimes poetic lyrics with double meanings and the story line (this song is the 2nd part of a duology). Easiliy 4-6 production layers and up to 3 vocal layers (the ballad Firefly from this album is just nuts from Vocal standpoint. That acapella unison singing in the end...). Since Dreamcatcher is pretty much representing their own genre it is very hard to compare them to anything out there. So most of their songs require multiple listen to fully click as our brain cannot map it. Songs like OOTD took me 10+ listen even when I am very familiar with their entire discography that currently has 91 songs and pretty much no skips. From this album, I would definitely suggest "2 rings" which is a western style country rock song however weird that sounds at first. It has a live showcase version with Choreography... Justice is the second part of the Villains & Virtues series. The first part was on the Villains album & it was called OOTD> (Outfit Of The Day, if you want to know.) It was supposed to be thought provoking. Because the song was catchy, but the lyrics were very...Lets say generic. All about how pretty & fashionable they are. They are surrounded by expensive things, wearing high fashion, flashy cars, all the influencer stuff....Yet if you watched the video carefully, You would see that they had stuff going on in the background. Getting along when the cameras aren't rolling, but fighting to create drama when the camera is on. Looking so pretty for the close ups, but having bruises on their legs where the camera isn't. Lots of subtle things that you have to look for. It was made to call out the influencer culture of creating a mask & having drama just to get views. And the members also seemed to be evil & kinda are involved in shady stuff...And they kinda seem to kill the camera person at the end. Now we have the Virtue album. Of the members being fighters for justice. Even when restrained, they fight to break out. To right the wrongs of the world. To free the trapped souls that were wrongfully imprisoned. To put themselves as a barrier between innocent people & evil. Dreamcatcher tend to have themes for different series. Their debut album & first few albums were part of The Nightmare arc. Where the members were nightmares & each had different things that they caused. It's a fun series. Then they had a few game collaborations. And then their next series was the Dystopia Trilogy. That was all about bullying, and followed the Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, See No Evil formula. Then they had the Apocalypse Trilogy, and that was about global warming & our impact on the world. They are a lot like SKZ in that their lyrics tend to have deeper meanings. For another song from them, I would suggest listening to Deja Vu. Or BEcause. Technically, they are from 2014 with a different name and started with Dreamcatcher in 2017. So, yes they're a more mature group HanDong was barely given a chance to do high notes, at least in group activity, but it's reasonable. She has a really unique deep tone and they know how to utilize that. Especially, she stands out (in a different way). Actually, she's doing that a lot recently to cover Siyeon's absent
