I was an original Abba fan. I like melodic music. I love The Jam, and I love NWA. I love The Who, and I love Public Enemy. I haven't been excited for a while until I saw The Sleaford Mods.
When John Lydon meets Dalek. What a weird unorthodox style that on paper shouldn't work at all. But strangely it really does, what an amazing genuine and raw band.
When I was about one, 1948, we lived on the outskirts of San Antonio, dad goin to college on the fookin GI bill, no money. Fookin donkeys screamed like this at night, scared the shit out of me, mom/dad/sis laughed: It's just fookin donkeys you dummy! I wasn't a fookin dummy, I was one year old. Hearin this, I membered that. Now I see why I was skeered, and I was only one with any fookin sense! Love this song, all their songs. Exorcisms. Purges. Fookin chaos, just barely controlled, like the Pistols.
i was gonna say the same thing. they remind me of the Fall ALOT. alot of the middle class twats of the fall forum are into this. i think they are the best band in britain right now. as relaxing as Happy Mondays. my boyfriend is saying though- when are working class people gonna get to hear this ? they are so fucking true though. i love him. "promote yourself, look like a cunt." he's a fucking genius. but then so is MES.
***** It s good old British "REVOLUTION" Music Renewed... Listen 2 CRASS 1978 onwards..... and u won t b disapointed ! And you ll see one of their Major Inspirations , if u can keep up with the lyrics !
***** One can really call them Underground , were´nt played on the radio in England or maybe on small stations who had a late night "punk" program But whith the "Free Radios that where legal in Paris early eighties they could sometimes be heard ! Me and a mate were invited to do a show about them at Radio Libertaire which was an Anarchist Station and it was great , except I forgot my whole collection in the last Metro home so I was Pissed in both meanings ... Still a cool memory ... And as they produced themselves the records were´nt always easy to get and they got no promo so many Punks had only heard of them but never their music .
***** Yeah They´re Right Up There !!! Really Great and sincere ( seems 2 me ) But they don´t really beat the political clarity Crass had ! Though times have changed... Maybe getting to old !?
I know a guy who works in a pub in Nottingham. I'm going to have to ask him to let me know if they book these guys. They'd be awesome to see live, I imagine.
Saw ye in Cork yesterday lads it was quality. What's the 'Yesterday's Heroes' track ye did called? Best one of the lot but can't find it on the tube here.
Sign of a good band, they have divided so much opinion amongst folk I know. Remind me of a less political more social commentary version of TwinLizardV4
Íñigo M.León By listening to it, if you think it should be written down somewhere maybe you're the one to do it there are plenty of sites that use user presented lyrics
I asked the same thing when I first heard Die Antwoord. At least I can say this guy is more talented then them as far as "lyrics" go even though it's essentially poetry in the form of spoken word.
Sleaford Mods influences Gun and Roses Black Metal and Rave with Mod Culture Wow after listening to this even Black Metal would sound great I can actually hear the appeal in Metal Music although it isn't for me This however makes my ears bleed and that of my friends remarkable for being the worst music i have heard in 30odd years of listening to all genres Quite a feat as i have heard some rubbish in my time

Must be the lyrics then!
Heard this track via the great Iggy Pop last night. John Cooper Clarke meets Mark
E Smith, utterly wonderful.
He is the Crispy Cream of Punk.
I love this band, for god´s sake.
First band I've been excited about for a long time.
best uk act for 20 years no contest
Indeed.
Definetly one of the most exciting Home grown music acts today.
They've gotta tune with my Favourite Group ever The Prodigy called Ibiza gotta hear that.
They got alot of awesome tunes but for me this is the best..hypnotic and faultless
When John Lydon meets Dalek. What a weird unorthodox style that on paper shouldn't work at all. But strangely it really does, what an amazing genuine and raw band.
I wish the mods would have more hip-hop stuff...would really blow some fucking minds open
This track is a smasher 💯

Richie B great story!
+Richie B The silence of the donkeys.......
gee i just discovered them! this is absolutely great mate!
Really liking the dark, rich, funking sound and tone on this. Yet another total killer tune from these 2.
they weirdely remind me of Happy Mondays and The Fall at the same time... a badass northern mod-kinda thing
They remind me of Gary Clail & on-u-sound system, PIL & Pitman.
they remind you of the fall? hahahahahahahahahahahahhahaahahhahahhahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahahah hhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I'm working class and proud of it...if that helps haha

the staring thing at the end of the video - shit - that was deep
Jeremy Clancy Like waiting for a great white to attack ;-)
They remind me of a english death grips in kind of a way ,or the streets mixed with crass
the first sleafords video uploaded from jasons own channel. Youve come a long way kidda.
What happened to you Rickie Lambert?
"why cant the bollocks sing along?"
how to describe such-a-win?
Mac Greusaichelàmhaich it's white collar bollocks sing along
darn mate, youre rite, oh well "why cant the bollocks sing along?"
great tune, the production on the track is hypnotic....
Quality! Anyone else see the cameo by Stan Laurel at 2:24?
I don't know what it is, but these blokes have it.

Best backing band to date. The man's got ease.
The phrase "Fucking Brilliant" is woefully inadequate when describing Sleaford Mods. Jason Williamson makes Mark E. Smith look like a choir boy.
This is some wild ride - great performance!
Love this band.
I've never really been into punk, but these guys are quite addictive
I know a guy who works in a pub in Nottingham. I'm going to have to ask him to let me know if they book these guys. They'd be awesome to see live, I imagine.
Donkeys in Blackpool I remember well.👍👏👏👏👏🙏
Zen Bells and Revolt! Nice combination.
Wow Jason can keep up that Glazed Look longer than Mitch McConnell did last Week 😮
To carry this off, you have to be fully committed.
Tom Fun and Derek looking good.
I love his facial expressions the two go well together plain and simple tell it like it is fuck off music keep up the good talent
They're like a cross between Liquid Gold and Don Estelle via Norwich.
Snotty muse, come on my lap. I like your bells.
Fukin love it :-)
wonderful
crasspop
i reckon this chappy will be a future major actor..knows and understands timing big time...or mibbes end up serving in a seafront chippy..l
A bit too much maybe, staring down his mouth. And that stare at the end, thought he was going to headbutt me
you need google chrome for that
This is great!
Scarborough donkey dont run....ha get it funny but fuckin spot on
These guys would make an awesome collab with the Gorillaz.
hahahaha..that ain't gonna happen
Go an get yer fuckin man...CHICKEN!
hey Smods fancy some gigs, down the skids down south-bring yer mouth
The bowie of rap
I dont know what the fuck this song is about but fuck it cracks me up watching it 😂😂😂 but they are a great band 👍
Who's this "Old Don" chap they keep mentioning? Don Estelle maybe?
happyngroovynallthat "hold on" most likely
+happyngroovynallthat I think it's Don Revie. I distinctly remember him leading out England at Wembley in a pair of leopard skins.
No he's saying "hold on" however the slang way of pronouncing it silences the H making it " 'old on"
what about Don Henley ?
Hold on hold on.........Subway Refill gone wrong!!!
Mac Greusaichelàmhaich I think it's "white collar bollocks sing-along" but yeah, ace.
Fantastic!
look at his face trying to look disaffected
Fucking brilliant
love it love it love it.
Fresher than warm dog shit, in a good way.
I'll say this mate, your teeth are in good nick
Hold on, hold on...It's in your fucking face.
GENIUS!!!!!
THE BEST ! SINCE CRASS !
They have already got 10 x the following ... Are people more reveptive 2day ?
Omfgawd. Got the hots for this bloke. Must acquire this vid
You'd like English footy.

Sleaford mods christmas message
Saw ye in Cork yesterday lads it was quality. What's the 'Yesterday's Heroes' track ye did called? Best one of the lot but can't find it on the tube here.
Pubic Hair Ltd
He looks a bit like Desperate Dan re; The Dandy
Nice
It was in the Fucking whiskey S/M
Philly! Let's get it. Revolt BPM and Biden
Think he lost the password to this account? mister williamson!
Sign of a good band, they have divided so much opinion amongst folk I know. Remind me of a less political more social commentary version of TwinLizardV4
Naughty.
Different ..can't quite work it out ..??.....sounds like he means it....perfect ...
Cockney? hahaha! It's not even a bad mockney.
+Paul Ralhan Considering they're from Nottingham I don't think they could be described as sounding "cockney".
+The Wizard In Black Notwithstanding. The majority of muricans think everyone in England speaks the cast of Oliver.
wish you cud see me looking bak at chu :)
too raw for you mate...too genuine?... have some studio made pop music...maybe one direction...
More like Indie Rock, Fuck pop.
Why have a band that broke up when I can have a Cockney British guy shout at me with a cool beat in the background.
Aint a Cockney. He's from Nottingham
i see what you did there
They emptied the booze out of the can in this video and replaced it with water so filming went smoothly.
How do you know that?
Sleaford Mods told me
Maybe the booze but not pillzzz
Which record is this from?
+singIeservingfriend I think it's on Austerity Dogs but not 100% sure.
DONKEY
reminds me of Death Grips, but better.
QUALITY
Role models.
Dole models.
where can i find lyrics?
Íñigo M.León By listening to it, if you think it should be written down somewhere maybe you're the one to do it there are plenty of sites that use user presented lyrics
It's sad that there isn't auto generated caption... I'd like to know what Google thinks this lot sound like.
This is too much!
Is this a joke?
'Fraid not Luke - they appear to be all the rage. Even appeared in the Wire magazine in March. X-Factor revolutionaries.
I asked the same thing when I first heard Die Antwoord. At least I can say this guy is more talented then them as far as "lyrics" go even though it's essentially poetry in the form of spoken word.
Hahah love your comment so much. :)
Luke1986s of kors my hors
Luke1986s U R The JOKE , or simply american ...!
And the vagrant won and you're raging, don't care what's coming it's deserved.
I like a lot of really top quality music and a lot of underground tunes but this just embarrassingly bad. Old Don can bugger off.
And you can just fuck off. Bad taste twat. P.s it's 'Hold On' you moron.
Shite
hurts when you hear summat real
canna bis I dont remember typing that, it was probably one of my cuntish friends. McFlurry!

Issit?
who knows.
Here's another troll popping up over every SM track on YT. If you hate them so much why are you listening to their entire back catalogue?

Ste Foster awful comm, rightthere!
