Called Cities Skylines 2 or something. Once bitten twice shy. Might wait 5 years when on a Steam Sale along with all the DLCs before getting this game.
"A history buff could get excited about the alternate takes on history" - with aliens and steampunk? No, thank you. That's like Batman popping up in the middle of a Star Wars film. Just... jarring... just wrong.
looks good, but balancing this will be nightmare, especially with paradox pumping DLC one after another, i mean minor patches with new race added for just 30$
I was really surprised by the demo and had a lot of fun and have been trying to convince people to give it a shot. The game is hard to market because how do you convey how a strategy game feels to play trough video and text. The changes they made to the standard gameplay loop feel really good but aren't super major. But should they be? If you like the genre is it bad for the game to then be a improvement over a radical change. Look steam gives refunds up to 2 hours. And hopefully the team reuploads the demo. Just try it out I think a lot of people will be surprised. Because the game thas the most important thing right. IT IS ACTUALLY FUN TO PLAY
Hello, developers, your games are cool, but in my heart there is only one surviving mars.I would like to see the second part of this beautiful game in new colors maybe someday????
game looks really cheap and bad ngl. The idea of the non-linear ages is cool but not sufficient when the rest of the game looks horrendous, especially the combat and the overall graphics. I don't really get people saying it looks promising. Ara seems more interesting but we'll see i guess
Didn't someone else try this? Called like...Humanity? And it didn't work out too well right? It'd be nice to see this concept do good. Hoping it goes well
I never buy games from paradox interactive after Cities Skylines 2. I am sure this one is save as of another paradox game. Same games sold and sold again without any innovations.

I mean can you even fathom the size of Stellaris with all its DLCs, its quite insane, albeit some are cosmetic for the most part and don't offer much...in which case why buy them.
this game doesnt even look good on trailers and probably will have shit tones of content cut out for DLC. And unique history each game? C'mon Paradox, we know it will be limited to like 3, max 4 scenarios unless we pay extra
The demo alone has 3 different scenarios. Obviously they're hyping it up and many games will follow the default path, but if you put in the effort to get the variants even the 3 in the demo played surprisingly differently.
I love the idea... but aesthetically its kind of ugly? I'll still buy it but it could do with a new paint job. Paradox kind of forgets that sometimes. Anyone remember the original 'Italian' character portraits from CKII, the ones that made the pope look like Mister Potato Head? I have the same vibe here.
The graphics doesn't look promising. Some of the tiles are ugly and doesn't connect well with neighbouring tiles. Especially the "suburban streets". It's like nobody can improve upon the Civ 5 artstyle. Was hoping for more realism and less Civ 6 mobile game cartoon art style.
