Hey Lennox, This video was filmed about a year and a half ago and was our prototype premium model. Our Tuggerah facility doesn't have a lot of space, so we had to set up and dissemble the cabin multiple times a week. As we were setting the cabin up often, we welded hinges to the wall to assist us. The problem with having hinges on the walls is that you can't properly seal the walls and are prone to have water leaks, thus all our expander cabins have Z flashings to ensure our cabins are water proof.
This video is an example of how the expander is folded out and isn't the full installation. When setting up your Same Day Granny Flat there are flashings and seals that would be installed to ensure there is no gaps.

Yes we will be able to deliver to Sheperaton VIC. In regards to council approval, you would be best to call your local council and have a chat with them.

Sorry to hear about your troubles setting up your cabin. This video was filmed at our Tuggerah premises and we have not changed our factories. I would have hoped that you called us to talk about the issues you described as we could have easily spoken you through them all over the phone to help you set the cabin up.

If you don't purchase the trailer, you will need council approval. If its on stumps, on a trailer its still classed as a caravan.

The windows are inside the cabin. They need to be installed once the cabin is all set up

Why is it narrower than a standard 8 foot container?
We have a factory in China that manufactures these for us. To be able to save on shipping cost, we import 2 of our cabins inside a 40ft container.

This is eerieely like the "China Expandable Container House"....neither have foundation, wiring, water, or sewage capacity.
We have a factory in China to manufacture these for us. Ours all come with foundation plans, engineering, SAA approved electrical, ect.
