Tegeler Audio is known for their high quality and intuitive operation. I love the "Creme." I also want to say thank you for the many times you switched between in and out of the power switch. That gives a much better representation of what it is truly doing to the sound.
I got the Creme and today its the last possibility to send it back (14 days). So should I? The EQ curves are subtle but very on point and the comp do the job really nice. I compared the comp with all the SSL Style plugins and everyone of these vsts gets close but none is so consistently good like the Creme comp. With all this plugins you have to tweak constantly but not with this one. So far the best SSL Bus compressor I've tested. Maybe there are better SSL Bus Compressors out there but the interaction between this simple EQ and the Comp and the simplicity to dial the right settings in seconds its definitely worth the money ...fuck it! I`ve already kicked my money out more stupidly :)
@@ZedMartyProduction On the last possible day to send it back I compared it with the Tim Petherik L-Bus for Nebula and man this was almost a reason to send this device back because the Creme narrowed the sound a little bit too much BUT then I put the Tegeler TSM in to the chain and Boom there it is! The TSM brought back the space again and with a subtle sparkle on top too. I will definitely keep this gear and Im very happy with the sound of this combination. The best thing I bought so far in terms of Mixbus gear:)
This was a really great review! I love how you ABed the various music styles. Very cool and useful for your audience. I would have loved to see you slam this harder just for kicks. Rock on man!
I was thinking about using this unit not only on the mixbus, but on vocals as well. The chain would be: BAE 1073MPF - > WES AUDIO 1176 beta -> Tegeler Creme. I would use the WES Audio for tracking (with a fast attack to catch all the transients) and the Tegeler while mixing with a much slower attack or maybe even for tracking, too. What would you say? Is that unit any good for that purpose?
I never tried the Tegeler on single vocals so far but I think it should work quite well. As it is a stereo unit, I tried it on background vocals and it did a great job, even with higher gain reduction.
Near the start of the demo shouldn't you have a LOT more gain reduction when the Attack is FAST and maximum threshold?. I'm not seeing much movement from the meter even when the threshold is set to maximum and the fastest attack. Dr. Mix has a review of this unit and he is really slamming it, in a way this model doesn't seem capable of ( if the meter movement is anything to go by ). I recently demod a Creme RC and it was having this same issue.
I think that has to do with the input volume I guess. It was not that high, so even with maximum threshold the compression is quite conservative. You can hear it when I switch to bypass, I used quite a bit of make-up gain.

I’d say Keep it, you won‘t regret it! I use it on all my mixes. And I guess if you decide to sell it years later it will still be worth quite a bit.

Fantastic piece of gear!
i really want to hear you talking about Rock tutorial
Could you a how to video about hooking up a hardware master limiter / compressor and how to use that in a DAW? That would be awesome!
Hi, sure I already have a video for that. Have a look here: ruclips.net/video/Nszfy6_639s/видео.html

@@ZedMartyProduction : oh that is interesting. I have another demo unit coming tomorrow will test it then.
@@ZedMartyProduction Check out the doctor mix video and tell me if your creme can pump like that?
