You're still here! Thank you for staying subscribed. I'm back full time on FilledStacks 🤪
Nice to see you're back. Could you do a video or comment to explain maybe on what happened with your company and why you're back full time on FilledStacks on RUclips?
Edit: just saw the text on the image haha. I've had a few startups as well, some successful and some not so successful. It's all about trying again until you hit that success, but every time trying to shorten the time and effort of that startup and trying to generate revenue immediately rather than building something huge first. As engineers we love building but that's not often conducive to running a viable business. I recommend reading Lean Startup which talks more about this.
Hey heeey, that's not a bad idea. It might be something I put on my personal channel, if I ever create one lol. I appreciate your curiosity about my journey.
In terms of what happened, I started a startup with a co-founder, built really cool product, that no-one wanted. we had built this two sided market place for a friend and then asked if we can take it fulltime. We then invested our own money, built, spoke to users, tried to get things moving but it never did. It also didn't help that the fundraising went very bad and that we had to spend out of pocket for almost 20 months.
With all that said, I learned a bunch of stuff which I'll now be applying to FilledStacks as a company to make it more impactful.
Thanks again for asking and I appreciate your advice. What you mention is exactly what I learned as well. We built soooooo many things it's ridiculous, actually crazy how much we built.
We live we learn! My goal is to create a growing and sustainable business in FilledStacks. I'm taking this as an opportunity to really dig deep into RUclips, teaching, helping and open source work! I hope to see you around.
@@FilledStacks I think a video would be helpful on this main channel as well, since a lot of people are using Flutter for their startup since it makes making multiplatform apps much easier than other solutions, that's mainly why I use Flutter anyway.
And 2 way marketplaces, yep they're a killer for sure, I made one too back in the day and learned exactly what you said. These days I've been making products within 1 month. Check out the 12 startups in 12 months challenge, it doesn't necessarily mean you need to finish all 12 but it forces us developers especially to stop overengineering stuff and to simply get stuff out there, launch, and generate revenue.
@@zzzyyyxxx thanks for the tip. I'll definitely check it out and see if I want to tackle that challenge.
In terms of the failure, Flutter had nothing to do with it. The product is so great technically, animations, graphics, etc. The business failed, and knowing that this is a coding channel talking about why the business failed on here doesn't make any sense.
But I might sprinkle it in through all my new videos and kind of include something I learned from the failure.
we miss you, man.
Thank you, I missed creating videos. I'm happy to be back.
Lol I don’t even know what you are talking about😭, welcome back Dane 🥳. Hope we are not getting the next video from you Mid-Year?
hahaha! No no, I'm back full time. I'll definitely try to release at least one more video before the middle of this year 😜
Soon as i heard homie's voice I knew
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Maaaaaan! i miss your contents!
I'm back now! Posting more content, I have some good stuff planned for the next few videos.
I've just noticed the new stacked update. Since I'm starting right now a new flutter project I wanted to ask you if the slack channel is still active.
Hey Hey, yes. It's still active with daily questions and answers. I'm active there throughout the entire day.

Nice, well done. I tried this and it does work well. One issue though, how would you control the Stack / make it look decent when the screen size causes the stack to... well stack. Viewers on mobile would have a bad experience and the text would be unreadable when it stacks. How can this be adapted to work with web on mobile as well?
We're using responsive sizing so vertically it should work fine. The heights are set to the screen height and the offsets are calculated using it as well.
I would use the responsive builder to return values for specific screenTypes. There's a function called getValueForScreenType where it will return the supplied values based on if it's on mobile, desktop or tablet.
So if it's stacking wrong. Figure out the values for it not to do that, then use those values for mobile.
@@FilledStacks Thanks for the detailed reply. I'll play around and see if I can get it.
@@FilledStacks Also, I've been playing around. I just don't see how the stack can work on mobile. Because once the view is made small enough, they cover each other, making it words over words. I think it needs to break out and be one above the other for a mobile view. 🤔
@LagIt 4StrokesGained maybe, I'm working on a flutter web series now that will cover some responsive UI as well and a full course that dives super deep into the responsive UI.
which package are you using for that

@@FilledStacksThanks 👍
Best
Thank you! I appreciate that.
Finally....
Yeeeaaaah! Happy to see you're here and watching.

@@aymennurhussen3689 I am, thanks. Can't wait to make more!
Can you make more video with OpenAI and LangChain.
Sure, I'll see what else I can make
Can we expect new videos from you?
really missed your content
Yes, I'm busy working on a new video this week 😊 gonna take a few to get back into my full tutorial videos.
@@FilledStacks waiting 🥳
Bro do the video of social media sharing feature in fluter web
Yo, I don't know what that is.
Is this used in Wonderous app?.
Can this be used in Android?
I don't think they use my package.
Yes, this can be used on any platform.
@@FilledStacks No, I meant similar behaviour I have seen there.
Please make this whole ui and give us part 2
Which parts are the most interesting. A lot of it is just normal scrolling as well.
@@FilledStacks i am the ui that is being shown, it should be replicated in the Flutter, atleast 90 percent of it all, text images animation
@@faheemahmadofficial7701 Most of it is just a normal scrolling website. It's not that interesting to build.
@@FilledStacks It would be very cool if you could show how to do the words scrolling horizontally in the background behind the image on scroll, if you could. That would be appreciated.
@@lagit4strokesgained820 I probably won't do that anytime soon, I have other things I want to teach, which hopefully gets everyone to be able to build anything they want to build.
