Mine does :D When I posted this comment, my budgie was only a hatchling and still at the aviary, but he's a funny thing that makes these robot noises too!
There is no such thing as a Cage Bird. Budgies were born to fly freely with tehir flock in Australia; not live in a cage with a perceh (usually the wrong size) for life. A bird is not a domestic animal..
@@carolwade3094 so...? What if he flew out and a hawk ate him? Then what?! She's playing with this bird out of his cage, you're acting like it's otherwise! Saying there's no such thing as a caged bird must mean you live under a rock or never had a dog, cat, snake, bird, or any pet to bond with. Whether you like it or not they are domesticated animals, and that's the world you live in. If you can't live with that wine on a video that actually has a sad looking bird.
I love this video of your happy budgie. I have a similar budgie I named Charley that flew in my garden many years ago, and funny enough I have made and posted a similar video on RUclips years ago. Charley has brought so much joy into my life, and he says : "|I love you schat".Dutch for sweetheart. He is/ they are almost human. They are amazing!
I just played this for my new budgie Periwinkle and she loved it! She's been having trouble adjusting to her new home, but this made her happy enough to chirp back! :)
what an adorable budgie!! he is a big guy! my yellow budgie used to do that same head bobbing. i miss him so much. i never knew if this was a mating behavior?
This bird is hella happy my bird goes off like that at times its the cutest thing. Like they singing a song for joy and bopping their heads to the beat
My pet budgie, coopie passed away on sunday and she was the sweetest little bird. I would play this video to her and she would sing along to it. I miss her so much and no other bird can replace her. My dad just got me a new budgie and she doesn't seem friendly. My heart's still with coopie :(
What a talented little bird. He's so cute. I used to have seven of them at once. This makes me miss them, but since I inherited a cat, guess the birds will have to wait. Great video!!
Be prepared for a commitment, getting a parrot is NOT something you should just do on a whim, for the bird's sake. And you should get two if you do it. I hate that these birds are so cheap at the pet store. It leads to a lot of neglected and unloved birds.
oh god why are budgies so cute I swear they do it on purpose. His little dance is so sweet and then he started kissing your fingers I just about squee'd to death
It sure is a happy budgie. Must be in the prime of his life, as he has so much energy. Good health also. For sure not a bird that is hard to get to respond to you.
What a babe! The look on his face when does that demented machine gun sound reminds me of my old bird Charlie, he used to get to hyper and his eyes would dilate loads (essentially when they flirt!)! My current bird doesn't have that although he's a show bird as well and fully grown (you can see the whites of their eyes when they grow older).
God.. I remeber at one point we owned quite a few of these little babies. Let's see... There was Jabber, Blue Boy, Snowbell, Greanbeans, Alex, Pickles, Patches. All had great personalities and were loved dearly. RIP my little babies.
awww thats soo cute. i love how they start dancing and the parakeets head gets all puffy when he is happy! i remember my male parakeet used to do that but he died 2 years ago :(
Accordering to my book on parakeet behavior, the soft twittering noises are said to be courtship sounds or sounds of contentment. Because they are highly social animals, budgies use any kind of chatter to impress friends or mates. It seems your bird knows that it's word mimicing makes you happy, and he's adding a bunch of head bobbing. He really does love you very much.
this is great and I think this is something that most people don't realize when you mention a bond between a bird and a person is different than that of a dog or other pet/ family member.
to sidewalkmedia===="Me Too!" It really brings back such lovely memories and since I am moving to an assisted living home, I may just get two! Hope you get some too! Grateful Grannie
awww he's so cute! :D,
haha I heard him say "I'll bite you" @ 1:04 lol
That noise he does at 2:26 cracks me up every time!!! hahaha
You're right; it's either a super kiss, a coffee pot, or a light saber. XD
Doi doi doi doi doi doi doi, lol that sound is funny as! I wish my budgie did it.
Mine does :D When I posted this comment, my budgie was only a hatchling and still at the aviary, but he's a funny thing that makes these robot noises too!

XD it's like he's calling a nail phone
The rambunctious and alert budgie is so awesome to watch. I like how his head is so puffed up. XD
Budgies are the best. Lots of personality in a tiny package.
Awwww, it sounds like he's giving your hand/finger kisses. :) Beautiful budgie!

So are cats and dogs and all domesticated animals.

@@carolwade3094 This is the pet version, dumbass. He was born to be a cage/aviary bird.

Sooo cute! Reminds me of my little budgie, except mine isn't an English Budgie.
I love his face spots. Very distinctive.
wow. reminds me SO much of my budgie when I was growing up :(
I love birds too especially the cardanal, amarican roben, and parots.
p.s. I love paricets (the bird in your video.)

My bird loves this thanks
I hope he's still like this after 10 years
My new Budgie's favorite activity is biting the tip of my thumb while standing on my hand. It really amuses him for some reason...
How adorable!
Beautiful Budgie
I have a budgie and he is always like this everyday!
Budgerigars can have a vocabulary of over a thousand words...
That bird would make an awesome mime
Sometimes, it's better to start with one bird to avoid distraction. I've always had success both with parakeets and cockatiels....
