As someone who _was_ a kid in the 80's and *DETESTED* all those kind of films, I'm dipping out of this one - to say I find it irritating is an understatement. Seems like a lot of people are really digging it though (including my housemate), so power to them, I'll let them have it and hope they get enjoyment from it.
No judging here everyone is different in the type of content they enjoy and consume.
@@GeekLodestars Totally, and I'm really glad that this is being well received after the haranguing that The Acolyte received (kinda justified in my mind, but people got way too nasty about it) - it might not be for me, but it seems to be making people happy, and that's a good thing 🙂
@@jollyrayda Yeah Tai enjoyed it but I on the other hand did not. I'm actually enjoying Agatha way more than Acolyte.
@@GeekLodestars Agatha, I feel, might be a very particular flavour that not everyone is into, but it is a very well-crafted show with an interesting character arc for the protagonist. Acolyte, unfortunately, had very weakly written protagonists with incredibly obvious character arcs, bad world building (or adding to the existing - either way it ain't great), and what feels like very low grade writing all up. In my opinion! I'm never going to yuk someone else's yum. I'll just find the things that appeal to me, and leave the rest for those who enjoy them. Wish it could be that simple on the internet - appreciate being able to have a civil discussion with you about things 🙂
@@jollyrayda I just don't think it was the bad writing another thing Star Wars fans hated was during the press for the show. Some of the actors and showrunner were saying things that made Star Wars fans angry.
