Thank you for sharing I learned a lot about the arrangement from this video, i’m not a drummer but I’m trying to program some drums please post more stuff like this🙏.
Hi Andrew, amazing playing. I have a question about your hybrid set: are you using the pads as triggers for Ableton Live or are you launching the sounds from a Roland SPDX? There's very low latency
Are the samples on the v drum pads being automated? Seems like they go from being the percussion and toms to snare and hats? Setting up a hybrid kit for our drummer and catching a little inspo
Amazing playing. Is a tech changing the trigger sounds from verse to chorus or are you hitting rims for the verse "snare" sound and the pad for the chorus hi hats? awesome job either way
@@andrew_marshall This is great stuff! I watched your video 7 Live Set Tips using Ableton for automation... mind blowing. I have a question... have you ever run into a live performance scenario where playback got off track resulting in automation occurring at the wrong time? (I.e., singer comes in late, etc..) Or is everyone on the same page with the fact that once the playback tech hits 'GO'... everyone is committed until the end? Thanks!
You're always totally perfect with the tempo! Can't wait to see you here in Brazil! Can you do a drum kit tour to show us more about your kit and electronic pads?
@@andrew_marshall i knoww you get that alot but im really looking forward for you to show us the drum set so we can know more about it i cant explain how many times I've watched your videos thanks man!!!!!
Those left hand snare hits are so clean that I had to slow it down. I'm not used to the switch up with left and right hands to hit the two and four... and the processing is so clean at I thought it was a track behind him. Total art of blending the triggers, etc... and points for hitting those left hands so effortlessly.
So effortless and clean. Would love a happier than ever video! You're killing it.
Honestly think drummers are one of the most hard -core people like idk how u guys do it !!??🙌

Well done. Putting E-kit and drum kit together flawless. And timing is dead on.
that snare at the end.
@FAATIN WASIQ it's the silver drum right in front of him, in this case
was your right hand just hitting your legs from the beginning to sense the tempo or something?
Yep, it helps me anchor the time.

Nah he obv using his thigh as a drum duh

Always fun watchin’ a professional! Love the setup, and the last few bars are so slammin. Great snare sound. 🤯
I LOVE this guy! So relaxed, yet SO SOLID!

People will hate, but this is a bad ass gig and imagine playing in front of that many people every show and guaranteed it's always gonna be packed.
Yeah but no one is focusing on the drummer at a pop show, not anymore at least.

Is it just the overheads capturing the shaker? If so, wich are those?

Those drums were amazing bro
Amazing
Hey, wanted to ask, I'd love it if you'd answer
Thanks! It's both, the overheads are pretty high in the drum mix and they do pick up the shaker.
Omg I would really like to see Xanny

Andrew you are incredible !!!!!!
I love that this video exists
What does the glass in front of the kit do? Is it for the sound?
Yes, it cuts down on bleed from the cymbals and drums in the vocal mic.
Sounds great
Do you have an extra pedal for midi bass sounds?
Yes, I use a Roland KT-10 for kick drums and 808 basses and such. Sometimes I put bass sounds on the pads though.
You have my respect
Dude you are SOO GOOD oh my god
Do anyone notes that some sounds dosnt have articulatio?
Andrew you is so talented ❤🇧🇷
you should post a copycat one, copycat goes hArd

dude so much power awesome
i find it interesting that you choose to use those roland pad controllers for the hi-hat sound. i would have went with a sample pad
imagine doing a full and thinking one of the electric parts Wasa Tom and then you make a off place effect

Why does he keeps his tempo while hitting on a rim? (also, i never could play to an vocal backing track live)
He’s hitting his leg not the rim, physically keeping time make it easier to play in time sometimes
how much of that snare sound is trigger compared to the mic and whats the trigger doing?. honestly the best snare ive ever heard
There's no sample on the trigger on this song. I hit a clap on beat 4 of every bar on the pad but it's mostly the snare.
