I would be honored if you would consider subscribing to my channel, helping me spread the word, and kindly letting me know of any topics you’re interested in for videos. If you were my history teacher I would've looked forward to class every day! Such a fun story, thank you for the snippet into history and also for letting me know how to eat! I started working a white collar job out of college and we go out to eat often but I noticed a difference in my caveman eating and everyone else's etiquette so I came here. Good to know that things like butter should be put on your own plate!
Hello, and welcome! Thank you for your kind comments--it warms my heart that you liked the history! There is history; an origin story, to every single thing about etiquette, and it gives us the "why" we do what we do. I think it's very important to know a bit about the history, to appreciate and see things through a different lens. I belive that we all deserve to know more than merely etiquette rules, of "do this, not that". I applaud your efforts to find out more about etiquette--we all weren't so lucky to go to etiquette school or learn about it as children. I want to be that source--where anyone can come to learn about etiqutte-and more than just rules. If you'd be so kind, please check out some of my other videos, I think you'll find them helpful, and fun! I posted a Dining Etiquette video that is very comprehensive, it covers everything, plus some history; origin stories, and the "why"--which helps us remember and put it all into practice. Here it is: ruclips.net/video/80zMpzZnYTg/видео.html Thank you very much, and please remember, at its core, etiquette is about being kind and respectful, regardless of which fork you use. Kindest regards, Heidi

Aaahh yes, that thorny ole chestnut, my great granduncle Sir Dickie Stickapopple was an absolute expert in this arena,he always said " one can judge a mans character by the way he consumes a fresh Croissant" yup Ole Dickie had a great insight into the human condition, actually at the battle of Gullagawo in the Belgian Congo he was spotted smuggling a few chicken wings and a fresh croissant into his tucker bag, that was just before he raced down the hill on his loyal bicycle shoutin somethig obscene about King Leopold the Chicken wing King,,he was never seen again !never !
I hope my little take was not too upsetting,as good news emanated from the nether regions of Southern Thailand about twenty five years later, apparently a young lass of great beauty declared herself to be Lady Thittipool Patarpooon Stickapopple as her mother was alleged to have had a liaison with poor Uncle Dickie, the young lady was fronting a chicken wing stall in Phuket, apparently Sir Dickie taught her all she knew about Croissants n Chicken wing marination,,so he must have survived that great plunge downhill on his trusty bike. Good news indeed !!zI wonder where the Ole codger is now ? I wonder !!!
