  • If you've been interested in tying your own rope halter, here's an easy method for you to begin with. If you can tie and overhand knot, then you can make this halter. In fact, my 8 year old son will show you a halter that he tied himself. I tied my own halters this way for years and they are very functional and last a good long while.
    You can purchase the type of rope that I use in this video, 1/4" or 3/8" nylon braided rope with a core, at your local hardware store or big box hardware store for about $10 for a 100 ft roll. This is enough to make 4 halters and a couple of sets of hobbles. The hobble video will be up in a couple of weeks
