i do love this EP, is a super powerful comeback. they where kicked out from Earache Records due the low sales of The Ultimate Incantation. . they did Sothis just like a DEMO, is unbelievable. So Baron Records heard this jewel and published it. Since Morbid Reich demo they could reach incredible levels (one of the Best Uderground selled demos of all times). I have the REPULSE edition from Dave Rotten

As much as I want to love Ultimate Incantation (my favourite Vader tracks are there) this album sounds like shit compared to the others. E.g. Vicious Circle is such a relentless headbanging song, but it falls flat due to production. Morbid Reich and XXV versions are so much better. Sothis and following album De Profundis, on the Other hand, sound amazing. So glad they have tracks The Wrath and Reborn in Flames on them, some of Vader's best early tracks.
Brutal music hasn't and will never been the same as it was in the 90s. Today is full of conservatory exercises or riffs for 8-10 yo kids none in the spirit of brutal music.

Come awn man! If you had said it was basically a copy of Sacrifice's Torment In Fire, Morbid Angel's Altars Of Madness and Deicide then I might think you were on to something. =) I do enjoy it though. I will have to say it is "inspired by" these artists.

coz the sound on ultimate is fucked up. compare it to morbid reich. this demo is so much more aggressive and powerful
