    I had the pleasure of meeting Jan 3 times. Once at the angling exhibition at the NEC, once on a lake in Bulcote and then again in my local carp tackle shop in Nottingham. He definitely was a gentleman. 👍

    This is actually on my brothers front garden , I fish it almost every week and have had Barbel upto 13lbs and Bream to 10lbs.
    Same as anywhere else though you can fish it one day and catch a dozen Barbel and on other days your tip never moves.

    quote;-''Dont know why Mick wasnt using a bait dropper. Would take a 12mm pellet all the luck in the world to end up in the right area and not stuck in weed, rocks or washed down stream.''
    Agreed,loose feeding in the powerful current of the tidal trent when it's running off is a scatter gun approach,you can only guess where the bait will eventually hit the bottom.
    A bait dropper would be at risk of snagging up on the big rocks close in and wouldn't last 5 minutes.It can get expensive when feeder fishing on the tidal trent,especially if you're an inaccurate caster so take plenty of feeders and terminal tackle with you and be prepared to lose some.

    Better than let them recover, how about not putting a wild creature thru all that stress in the first place. Cruel blood sports should be banned..

    • @philjackson6471
      @philjackson6471 8 лет назад +5

      +sodthong I can see where you are coming from. However, angling is an atavistic activity which appeals hughely to some people. Anglers are the only people who take polluters to court and press for protection and restocking of rivers. (Bet you don't do anything like that!) . Angling gives people chance to interact with the environment in a way that is meaningful for them. People are different I'm afraid.

      sodthong firstly why are you watching something that you disagree with that I do not understand as an angler myself we take care of our environment and are embassadors for our sport. personally I think your very small minded and obviously know nothing.
