Thanks to Lang Lang's parents for supporting his inequitable talent. The world would be poorer without Lang Lang's interpretations of classical music. There is so much hard work for years behind his performances. Thank you for existing, dear Lang Lang
Beautifully played. Lang Lang appears almost in a trance, and I am so impressed that he can play like this without watching his hands.. The dreamy quality of this lovely nocturne gets emphasized with his delivery. I can imagine walking down a lane with springtime growth on the trees, tiny leaves unfurling, the sky that incredible blue that you only see in the spring, and a sense of burgeoning growth, a lazy river purling along nearby, scintillating in the sunlight, mushrooms springing up in the woods, and baby birds being fed by their mother.
The only interpretation that conveys the wailing feeling of the piano. I hv been playing this piece for long but never have this kind of feeling when playing myself. His mastering of each note is from another world. Admire and Respect
I ain't a very good pianist, but it's actually not as hard as you might think. Even I can play some pieces with my eyes closed. Once you know the piece it's not in the eyes anymore, but rather in fingers.
He is No 1 pianist in terms of interpretation. He really understands the piece and brings out the best will little effort. Every has been perfect so far. Also you can see he enjoys what is doing and that is very important as it is entertainment and people watch musician as well as listen to connect to them. I think 90% of musician go into music because they love it at first and, of course, want to show off, but after few years of hard work and littler work the tastes goes away and it performance to them feels like doing the wallpaper. They show no passion and pleasure. But with Lang it feels like he is at home and does not want to leave.
Erm still think Władysław Szpilman's is so far the best for me personally... Władysław Szpilman played this Chopin Nocturne No. 20 and it sounds like mourning... really sad mourning... R.I.P., Władysław Szpilman... and his dead World War II family members...

There is ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT ABOUT THE FACT that Lang Lang IS LITERALLY INFINITELY BY FAR THE GREATEST pianist who will EVER walk the face of the planet, BAR NONE!!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, there are many truly great pianists, Alma Deutscher, Rubenstein, Horowitz etc, but NONE of them will EVER come within ANY distance of touching Lang Lang, due to the FACT that Lang Lang IS IN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT STRATOSPHERE to the rest of us, and ALWAYS WILL BE!!!!!!!! Julie Gill, Glasgow, Scotland.
I’m not sure about the piano tuning and the sustain pedal could’ve been used more judiciously. I sense the piece was played over emotively.I have to be brutal and say that Anke’s interpretation at age 6 is excruciatingly close to the mark if not at times right on the money.
I hate Lang Lang expressions on Chopin's too, he's just too much of a show off the techiniques. but this one , this one sounds ok if I close my eyes haha ultil the middle part tho lmao
Love the piece, don't get me wrong. But I am over these players with their "in a trance" style of playing. Drop the act because that is exactly what it is.....an act. And Lang Lang acts the most.
Big fan of Lang Lang, but I think it is not a suitable repertoire for him. He has very open and passionate personality. The execution is flawless, but the phrasing needs to be reconsidered. I expect more delicacy and sensitivity like he did on Clair de lune.
He is extremely good pianist, no doubt, this performance is the absolutely one of the worst I've ever heard. Terrible rendition of this miraculous nocturne
Bad piano with brassy overtones. Seeing one of the greatest pianists in history playing on a substandard instrument is very disappointing. I'm sure he would sound wonderful on almost any vintage piano from 1810 onward, but this one is irritating. Or maybe it's the microphones? NPR really screwed this up.

The best version of this Nocturne I've heard so far.
it was very nice. You should listen to Arrau if you haven't, he's my favorite!
Ever looked at the video of Valentina Lisitsa, playing the same piece, or Tiffany Poon? Gorgeous as well.

Magnifique interprétation 😍 😊👏

He played through the whole thing without looking at the keys… my goodness

when you know the piece by heart, you don't bother with thinking about the piece any more, and the feeling with guide your playing
Try Nobuyuki Tsujii. He is blind and can play the toughest music ever written. Amazing version of La Campanella.
Factually incorrect
He doesn't see them even when looking.
Never sounds like that when I try to play it!!!
Beautiful!😍
Amazing, perfect ❤❤❤❤

A masterful, brilliant, perfect, sublime performance!!!
Obrigada. ❤

totally agree. Szpilman probes the melancholy depths of this nocturne.

his soul is in harmony with nature so he can express wonderful like this
No words for you😍😍

Immense pianiste !

He is an angel !!! ❤

Sin dudas el mejor panista del mundo❤❤
Amazing❤
It is beyond beautiful
It's perfection. So lovely.
Bravo !! 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
me encanta su interpretación

Such emotions in the music..
Pas de mots....:)
god of keys
He plays very good 👍 but the audio is bad
The keys are a tiny bit off tune. But other wise, still a masterpiece 💅👁👄👁👍
Its atheory of every thing...
Maravilhoso
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The almost erotic caressing of the keys which produces this soft gorgeous playing
heaven things !
PRECIOSO!!!!!
God almighty ❤
Fantastic pianist!!!! Some tuning on piano before of recording should not so much bad!
I play this piece too but somehow i can't catch the feeling
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
His fingers know the address 😍
Did anyone notice that bench?
Why mono?
Stupendo.
Bad audio. I can feel the recorded sound waves and it’s in a totally different frequency than the actual notes.
I’m not sure about the piano tuning and the sustain pedal could’ve been used more judiciously. I sense the piece was played over emotively.I have to be brutal and say that Anke’s interpretation at age 6 is excruciatingly close to the mark if not at times right on the money.
Little too much pedal I agree
Of course far beyond my abilities still
What a genius… holy fck
Piano? Pianissimo?
forte
Its probably the pianos problem and plus it’s not like u can do better even if u had a Steinway piano so pls keep the bad opinions to ur self.
@@plagueskice7725 get over. The piano is innocent. Idiot
This pianist is like Ayrton Senna at the piano...he's extremely rushed.
Liang liang best for two set violin 😂 Twosetviolin: practice 40 hours a day 😂

can this guy play anything without being a ham?
tbh, I don’t like his interpretation ofc it’s based on my opinion I prefer others.
The piano and or mic are like Walmart quality. Even Lang Lang can’t will it in tune.
Nope!
This is waaaaay too harmonious and perfect :) for this piece has to be histerical, erroneous and blundering
He is too theatrical in my opinion. But if I close my eyes and just listen to the music I can enjoy it. The piano sounds a bit ugh!
I hate Lang Lang expressions on Chopin's too, he's just too much of a show off the techiniques.
but this one , this one sounds ok if I close my eyes haha ultil the middle part tho lmao
@@sprazer bitch , Lang Lang plays better then anyone that learns piano , don’t say that !!!
Don’t argue about the piano , just listen and that’s it , why do u care so much =-=“ ish your piano at home better than this one ?? 🙄🙄🙄

Exactly like you can play it @mrs8357 and @sprazer

terribly out of tune piano
Ur not supposed to comment that bruh-
was he drunk?
I dont think so
Terrible piano, great pianist!
So so, not good
Way too much acting for me. Nice performance though

Terrible performance!🤨
Too too dramatic and poor selection of piano. Too bright of a sound.
极度肤浅并且做作的演奏, so superficial. totally ruined the piece!
Decoration art is still a kind of art. He contributes more on music than common people do.
@@chingma4792 ruclips.net/video/OORWoYSO8D8/видео.html He was better five years ago
I like much more Yundi’s interpretation of this masterpiece music.
