Honestly it’s so true and sad, it goes with other things too like breakups or something like the passing of someone else you love like a family member and others too you can name one that you don’t get over with it.
Elite Cop, the guy that hate everyone for a reason. For the first time in a long time he found a true friend that actually help him and did not lie to him... always there to be with him. Even after he died we can honor his wish, and ability to do that is what make for me Elite Cop a great character. Many say, Half life is good only for silent protagonist and with zero cutscenes. This game is real proof that IT CAN be a good solution. Cutscenes are there but not in Kojima's ammount and lenght. Wilson is the character that i actually wanted to carry. Even in places "when we can temporary leave him" i ignore those places and still taken him, and that alone result me for few quickloads. Wilson is a friend we all need... but dont deserve. He did what everyone says its impossible. He awoke human in Elite Cop.
Its also like taking care of a disabled friend. This might even be an example of real life educating games instead of only fiction shooters and all the fiction stuff. Its these things that connects us to real life in fiction games.

Recently i played all the half life games and I'm really confused by people bringing up the no cutscenes thing, yeah there's no "traditional" cutscenes, but they're still there, they just allow you to move around, meeting alyx, the G-man conversations, hl2e1 train ride, alyx kicking it, Gordon getting captured, etc, those cutscenes work for these types of games because you can move around look and interact with things, playing the game multiple times allows you to not become bored due to this
All i feel with this scene is tears, worrying, and revenge. Until, well.. The truth is reveal with a epic final boss battle. And then the ending. I got the good ending
Such a great and tragic moment. Even in spite of everything Aiden's done in the Combine's name, even with all the rebels he's killed in cold blood, it's all too easy to relate to his grief and sympathize with him here. After seeing our Combine-aligned MC be so callous and sociopathic throughout both mods, seeing him gradually regain his humanity via his friendship with Wilson throughout the mod was a wonderful thing to see that really helps endear the player to him despite not really being a pleasant guy objectively, and it makes the clear grief he displays as he tries to make one of the few, true friends he actually has stay with him all the more heartbreaking. Between all this, establishing Aiden's motivations via his backstory (which I think also helps make him more sympathetic and makes his initial loyalty to the Combine understandable) and just making him a very fun character to listen to, I can confidently say Entropy Zero 1 and 2 nailed 'playing as the bad guy' _perfectly!..._ which basically translates over to EZ1&2 and Aiden essentially being the antithesis of Hunt Down The Freeman and good old Mitchel *'you fucked up my faaace'* Shephard.
I feel like alot of Half-Life mods are made to showcase some cool concepts rather than conveying a message. The base HL2 for example props up this idea that even at our lowest humanity is capable of some great things and we should be proud of that. Entropy does the opposite but still leaves the player with an important idea. Sometimes life sucks and there's nothing we can do about it, but rather than get angry and lash out at others we should confide in those closest to us and if you have no one there's always some other weirdo out there looking for a kindred spirit. TLDR: Entropy is about learning to love life again.
This is probably why the game hit so hard for me. I've always had issues keeping connections, constantly screwing myself over due to poor social skills and getting betrayed plenty of times. It lead me to genuinely despise being around people. Thankfully I was able to find other people who care for me, despite my issues. It still hurts me to open up at all when it comes to these things but hey, live and learn.

Tip to anyone playing the game, make tons of saves cause he can die way earlier, thankfully for me i suspected as much and managed to get the good ending first try, not gonna spoil what the ending is of course.
Yep, beat the game with 0 deaths but a ton of close calls. I even left a professional review on the steam page for the game. 9.5/10 in my opinion. One of those games you would play again every once in a while.

I was just streaming my playthrough of the mod to my friend on discord today, and this part where wilson died, made me tear up and sob a bit that I had to pause the game for a bit, which is surprising, as I dont usually cry over fictional characters unless I like them, I usually just... get tears and feel sad, however, this time it was just depressing for me, dosent matter how little or long we know characters, we always will take a liking to them either way, then, when I gotten the good ending, and I was happy, I hope there will be third entropy zero :)

Of all the feelings I thought I would encounter in this game, emotion was not one of them. I was expecting a sequel with more levels and fun shooting mechanics that the first Entropy Zero teased. Yet here, I was frozen in denial.
Haha! I thought I was the only one who did this with so much anger. I thought Wilson was dead, too, and I was very angry. I cried for 15 minutes at Upload Station, staring at the doors closing on Wilson. And when I got out of there, I emptied all the guns I had on that guy's head. Even if I only had to use my pistol to kill Advisor, it was worth it.
