Thank you Casey! :) I appreciate the kind words my friend. Yeah, it's actually more rare than I first thought. Hard to find this body style. Thanks for stopping by :)
Love this Cornbinder, Zane! Lots of potential and options are wide open. All that space! As long as the basic structure is sound, you can go with a more updated engine and drivetrain. Or just keep her original. Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this beast!
Something so therapeutic about getting the grinder or sawzall to cut out something that's been holding you up! I had to cut my bench seat up to get it out too
it's a runner, was working on my 66 international yesterday, lost the spark I think my condenser must be bad may get some parts today can't wait to see your truck moving 👍
I’ve got a BCF-182 I think these lines of trucks are the best looking, mine is same front end just radiator shutters and has the rare Select O matic 5 speed
After the video’s over I’m gonna head down to my local tractor supply and get me one of those battery tow downs🤣😂! Ripping off that headliner I can get a good look at how bad the roof is (looks like Swiss cheese LOL), and watching you rip out that seat was hilarious🤣! That engine looked pretty rough but it was awesome to hear it run. Just goes to show these older engines were built to last. Great video Zane I really enjoyed it!👍😃
Lol! 😂 Swiss cheese indeed Cody! Had to remove the headliner *slowly* ....kept checking for spiders 😂🥺. Thanks for tuning in. Its always much appreciated my friend 🙂❤
Looks like your projects are doing better than mine! 😂 hopefully some parts show up for my F600 4x4 this week. I'd like to get it mobile again before snow flies!
Zane, I have allergies issues too, believe it or not, if I have a headache I will put some vicks vapor rub on the area where it hurts. ..tell you what, if we lived near each other I guarantee we would be buddies, we have alot of identical interest....hope this helps!! God Bless!!!
I know where a later model IH is (maybe mid 70's) but have never stopped to see if it could be bought. It is 4X4 too. I think it has a V8 in it. Going to take a lot of work but that is going to be a neat old truck...
There's hope for the ol girl yet, if you pull the drive shaft you're gonna want to put something in there to stop the transmission oil from spilling out, do you know that the clutch is releasing? or cross that bridge when you come to it
Thanks for the comment and suggestion James 🙂👍 both of the flanges are bolted on. I believe the clutch is free 👍 hopefully it will move under it's own power. Thanks for watching and take care
That engine sounds really good. From the cans of brake fluid in the cab, I'm guessing the truck might have had a brake issue when it was still in use...
Thanks! 😀👍 yeah, im lucky it seems to run good. I was wondering the same thing about the brake fluid lol. Thanks for the view and kind comment 🙂 much appreciated
The way this truck has been repaired over the years, tells me it has spend a lot of its working life in very remote locations where parts were not easy to come by. Just out of curiosity where do you source parts for these old trucks? ..I can imagine them being difficult to find parts for
I would imagine you're 100% correct on that! I'm sure its had a rough life. So far the parts have been fairly easy to get 🙂👍 just a lot of research and some guessing. Thanks for the view and comment. Take care 👍
The rear end in my dad's dodge dually is making a growling sound at lower speeds and it vibrates at high speeds. It's a Dana 80 with 3.55 gears. We are thinking the pinion bearings are going out and the ring and pinion are shot. So it probably needs the rear end rebuilt or has to have a new rear end put under it. Do you think the rear axle from a 2003 chevy 3500 work under a 2000 dodge ram 3500?
Good video! 🤔 all those straps and they use twine for a battery tie-down??? You can still get Big Red in a can, LOL and I understand what you're getting at about a 350 in S10... But you do realize it's no harder to get the spark plugs out of a 4.3 that came Factory in the S10, right? As a 4.3 is just a 350 with the front cylinders cut off... So it's not pushing the engine back any further is just pulling it outward, toward the radiator. Otherwise it's the exact same blocked just two front cylinders cut off.
I didn't think of that! 😂 so much for the straps lol. Thats true about the 4.3 🙂👍 thanks for the view and kind comment Justin. I truly appreciate that my friend 👍
At least it popped off, a carb kit should have it running good Zane! Its amazing how long that old iron lasts. I didn't see the fire extinguisher there when you were trying to start it!
Oh yeah JT 😣 I've done better work. The passenger side of the seat frame was bolted with no gap to get the blade in between the frame and slider. What a mess. Thanks for watching 👍🙂 take care
@@HODGEPODGEDODGEGARAGE it's a 4x4. It has a bad case of death wobble though. Get it above 35 and it shakes violently. I told him he might but some money into the front end after he gets the kinks worked out of the engine

I'm not sure, it may work 🤔
depends on spring spacing. The mounts might have to be moved.
Are you sure it's a Dana 80 & not an AAM rear axle? Just rebuild what you have. You'll save yourself a headache down the road.
also the ujoints could be different size.
@@WesleyJohnsonMI yeah it's a Dana 80.
An IH 350 V8 from an early 70's truck of a similar model might swap into yours and not have the firewall space problem.
