I did 10 days in Europe this summer with a carry-on. I took mostly dresses, marching shorts sets, two jeans, shoes consisted of a pair of sneakers, a pair of flats & a pair of heels. All travel size toiletries and minimal makeup. Going to the Bahamas next week for 6 days & will only have a carry-on again. It can be done, planning is key…
@@HEIZMYPAST2011 my girlfriend had two suitcases and was pissed when she saw my set up. 😂 Our trip was during the height of the delayed & lost suitcases saga and I wasn’t taking any chances. My handbag was large enough to hold my toiletries, and makeup which freed up my carry-on. Coming back was a challenge because of a few items I purchased, but they really didn’t bother me.
Exciting I finally took the plunge and booked two solo trips next year first to New York then Prague thought I would try solo travel in US first been binge watching solo female travel vlogs for year's finally got enough courage and will be doing carry-on only never want to check a bag if possible great vlog.
Maaaaaaam! Thank you for posting this video and your blog of your birthday trip! Cause you just gave me the energy I needed to want to go on a cruise for my birthday 🥳 THANK YOU & Happy Belated Birthday 🎂 🎉🎉🎉
Happy belated birthday. Thanks for sharing your packing tips. I purchased the backpack from Target when you shared it in your last packing video. Best backpack ever for travel. I highly recommend it .
Such a dream! So glad to have watched this, I also wanted to do solo travel to places like Paris and Greece. I always think that travel is made easier when you have the best travel gear and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for travels like this. Thought I'd share it with you guys too!
London got me the first time but I learned fast. Now for all my carryon toiletries I’ll pack as normal going to London, but on my return home, I’ll dump whatever is almost empty or close to being empty so that I have no issues. So far I have had no issues. But man, London is no joke!
I pack a lot of liquid products in my tsa pouch which is larger than a ziplock but I downsize to essentials to fit a sandwich ziplock when I go to Heathrow. I buy the rest of my toiletries at my final destination.
I find this amazing and did same in the last one you did. When I go to stay overnight at my brothers', I take a massive bag! Clearly don't need it. I'm taking notes from you, girl! About travel in London, you definitely won't get away with the bottles. But they are about to change the rules so fingers crossed. I hope you have a good time in my city when you come. Be sure to have afternoon tea at The Ritz/Savoy 😋🇬🇭🇬🇧
My 3rd comment lol, I should've just waited till the end. Consider getting Global Entry instead of just TSA precheck. It cost about $20-30 more and zips you through customs when u come back home. It includes precheck as well. Either way it can take a looong time to get an in-person appt to complete the application so look into it sooner than later (if u haven't already).
Ha!! Girl you've been getting away with TSA murder with those extra liquid toiletries! I'm sure you've checked the website by now lol more power to you!
Lol, nah definitely still haven’t been on that site. I’m starting to believe that this liquids thing is a myth somebody started to get people to not even try or maybe they were more strict about it 20 years ago closer to 9 11. I’ve definitely been through TSA at minimum 40 times this same way.
Weight requirements generally apply to checked luggage not carry on. As usually no carry on would be generally very heavy with normal items unless it was just filled with bricks lol
Just be careful, there is a lots of things going on. Please always check your surroundings.... Do not truth anyone.... I born there but I always feel fear ....just be sure you are not out in the street after 10pm unless is inside the hotel or resort.... Good luck🙏🏻
TSA website is all fluff! None of the stated rules apply when you're actually at the airport! I think the only thing is fluids in larger sizes... ex 8oz.
I packed them. Before I zip up the bag you will see a black pair of clothes beside the shoes and stuff. I went to grab them but forgot to reattach my mic so the audio was distant so I didn’t include.
A few minutes in, I had to restart this video because I see all this cool/ cold weather items. I thought D.R. weather was hot beach weather and all your clothes seem to be more for mixed/ cool weather.

Goals! I had 2 suitcases in Europe! Never again!😅

You should do it. I love to travel solo.
I’m going to definitely have to check out that bag!
Thanks for this Lia. I pack wayyy too much so will need to revisit this video on my next trip to see how to downsize. Safe travels
Thank you!!
Have a safe amazing trip, enjoy your special day 😊🥰❤️🙏🏻🙏🏾🙏🏼🕊️🍀🧿
Hope you had an amazing trip!
Thank you!
Hope you have a wonderful birthday trip! Planning my solo birthday trip now.
Have fun on your trip as well!
Hope you have an awesome trip. Be watchful!
You did right to pack a carry-on for an international flight. I think with the AAdvantage card checked bags are only free for domestic flights.
Oh wow, I need to read those terms and conditions better. The only perk I was really thinking about was the bonus miles.
Happy Birthday 🎉! I hope you have great time.
Thank you! It was great!
🇬🇧 🙋🏾♀️ You look fabulous 👌🏾
Have a great time 💕
Happy belated birthday 🎂!! Fellow Sag!!
Thank you!

Oh that’s really smart. I didn’t even think about it would only apply for the return trip.
You are not saying a lie. And they also give you the zip lock bag that they want you to use!!
Happy birthday. And I just did the same solo trip to chicago for my birthday first time spending it alone. My family thought I was crazy doing this.
Families good for thinking folks are crazy! 😩😂

That makes so much sense!!

I just took my first cruise for my bday! I definitely only packed a personal and carry on!
I'm going to apply for TSA Precheck too. I want to do some solo traveling.
It was a quick process . My interview was last Friday and I had my traveler number by Saturday
Great tips, I pack way too much 😂😂
beutiful .all the best. amigo-🤞
Lia, how did I miss this video 😀 five years ago.

Definitely was considering global entry after that long customs line on the way back from DR.
Great job! This is definitely a skill!!!! Have you ever used this method for over 5 days? I Always over pack 😭 😭. Hope you had an amazing safe trip!
Becareful out there .

I love your username 😂
What about weigh requirements?
Weight requirements generally apply to checked luggage not carry on. As usually no carry on would be generally very heavy with normal items unless it was just filled with bricks lol
I Plan to travel via United Air Line-- do they allow carry on? I'm still gone snag this bag, for this price it's a must have for travel
It’s been years since I traveled with United but I believe so. I would check their site to be sure
Yes,United allows a personal item and Carry-on luggage
Just be careful, there is a lots of things going on. Please always check your surroundings.... Do not truth anyone.... I born there but I always feel fear ....just be sure you are not out in the street after 10pm unless is inside the hotel or resort....
Good luck🙏🏻
I’ve been back for about a week now but definitely stayed safe while there.
How do you like the Amazon Basics carry-on luggage? Any cons?
I like it no. No cons so far.

Good packing! Do you pack pjs or sleep in undies?

@@LiaLavon I’m Inspired. I need to do better with my packing. #packLight

I definitely underestimated the heat but I was in a swimsuit 95% of the time so it was fine.
Where are your pajamas ?
I packed them. Before I zip up the bag you will see a black pair of clothes beside the shoes and stuff. I went to grab them but forgot to reattach my mic so the audio was distant so I didn’t include.
Is that a British accent I hear?
Absolutely not lol
Tsa precheck is worth every penny but get Global entry it's only 15 dollars more
It really is! I got it back at the end of December
