Percy and annabeth aren’t the only ones at the claiming. There are campers behind them. It was seen in a leaked clip. They are just off camera. But when the camera moves they are there
Attended the NYC Met premiere yesterday (and watched first four Percy Jackson episodes in advance). I can confidently say this IS the faithful, delightful book adaptation we've been waiting to see for nearly two decades. Get ready to buy some Camp Half-Blood merch!
I was at the CCXP Percy Jackson's panel on december 2nd and GUYS IT LOOKS AMAZING! I watched the first 10 minutes of the 1st episode and also two more clips. The choreography of the fight scenes and the CGI looked stunning. Now, seeing Rick participating on the marketing... I'm hyped for this show!
I actually ran into Dior after the screening. She was so nice and excited to keep working on Percy Jackson, especially in regards to Sea of Monsters' storyline.
YESSSS ANOTHER FILM SCORE FAN If you haven’t listened to it already, the score for Jojo Rabbit is absolutely perfect and has made me cry many, many times, lol. (Michael Giacchino is always great, though, so that’s not a surprise.)
I am going to be watching the first two episode of the show on Disney plus until the next episode is aired so yeah I have a really bad habit of watching things over and over again. So I am in going to be in my happy place when this airs on December 20. I love the posters for the some of the cast and characters. I love the fates they look like little granny. I like who plays annabeth so yeah not mad about the fact that she isn't white or have blonde hair or gray eyes from what I have seen she personifies what I think the character of annabeth is so yeah I love who they have playing annabeth. I can't wait for the little percy and the sally and Poseidon flashback(s).
I admit I freaked at first about the whole Annabeth thing only because my first foray into Percy Jackson was late, like late 20s, early 30s, and my first art foray into the fandom was Viria's work, and so I was familiar the most with blonde Annabeth. I suppose, given my age, I'm also used to characters I grew up with getting updated over the years, and used to does not always equate to acceptable 100 percent of the time. All of that said, I'm of the same mind that you are on this. Since the casting was announced, I've been watching videos, seeing clips and seeing the three leads together, and I have to agree wholeheartedly: Leah IS Annabeth. I have never seen Leah herself in anything else because I don't regularly follow child or young adult actors, but I'm trusting her explicitly and feel that Annabeth Chase is safe in her hands. She gets the role, she understands the character, and she even convinced Rick, who, of course, is the only opinion that matters after everything. I can't wait to see what else she'll do with the role. She's gonna kill it. They all are. Now with all that out of the way, I just want to thank you for these videos. I'm new to your page and I love all the updates and the time you take to keep all the fans informed. You're an eloquent speaker, engaging, and you keep me tuning in which, I admit, is quite hard to do. Please keep being awesome and thank you again. I can't wait for the show. :D
I am excited and interested to see Leah play Annabeth. I admit that I was slightly disappointed that Percy and Annabeth's appearance wasn't going to stay true to the books only because I feel like especially for Annabeth that her appearance brought more to the character. Annabeth was always talked down as a dumb blonde even though she is so incredibly smart and it impacted her. We see scenes in The Mark of Athena where Annabeth is able to get away with throwing her dagger into the water by playing a dumb blonde. So they're going to have to rework that for the show. But honestly it doesn't matter that much and as long as Leah can capture Annabeth's complex personality I am happy to have her.
Black women also have this stereotype of being dumb with the addition of being seen as angry and hostile so it'll be great to see them establish Annabeth as a normal person.
Uh no the “dumb blonde” thing wasn’t part of her character. The only time it’s mentioned is in Mark of Athena, and only once by Annabeth and the other time by Leo. It’s not essential

literally the entire camp is behind them
I'm glad. I was hoping it wasn't just the two of them.
Leah is going to be great. Her preparation shows her dedication.

I saw a red carpet clip where Dior was signing her first-ever autograph and I was so happy for her!

"always" literally 1 time in mark of athena, way after the first series ended
@@AHealthyDoseofFran Hi Fran!
I wanted the show to be set in the 2000s because of Stranger Things and it’s homages to the 80s.
Would’ve been cool. Imagine the music they could’ve included
@@heliotikis I'll tell you one thing. I'm doing a red-edit of Percy vs the Minotaur set to Running Up that Hill.
