Watering Stressed Plants 🍻🌳🥛🌲Don't Make This Mistake Watering Plants
Stressed plants and plants that are newly planted have root loss, which leads to drooping leaves. This does not mean they need to be watered.

Excellent Lesson on making good observations to develop an important diagnosis on plant health.
Reminds me of a story of a city that planted a number of young maples in a new park. Not long after all the maples were withering badly. The grounds keepers started to water a bit more thinking they were being stressed by the summer’s heat however watering was not helping and all the trees were showing the exact same symptoms and they continued to degrade in health. Park managers called in the local county agent who was stumped at first but upon closer inspection found the problem. Groundskeepers were too aggressive with their weed trimmers and were whacking a ring around the bark damaging the trees’ ability to move water up to the leaves and interrupting the natural internal vascular system of the trees. You just can’t look at leaves and think it needs water if it is wilted.
    Great Episode!

This is a great tip and video! It’s true that the moment most people see drooping or wilting, they automatically assume the plant lacks water.

i would generally presume i was over watering a newly planted tree and that instead of not getting water it cant get oxygen, i cant keep a persimmon alive for much more than a couple months after planting lol
