Taking Endo off was a mistake
Leaving Macallister on was an even bigger mistake.
Copium , none of those players in that squad are good enough , they all think they are world beaters ...They are average at best , let's just be honest 10 draws is bullshit
We need a top class #6 - Mac Allister should play as an 8 or 10 - another 6 would shore up the defense and allow us to rest Endo or Bajcetic without exposing ourselves. May also take the pressure off the forwards is we don’t concede so easily
Look at Trent’s positioning for the first disallowed goal, and the second goal
For the second goal where the hell is the desire to cover his man….
on the ball he is world class, but I feel that he is becoming increasingly disinterested in defending and tracking back and helping the team….
His positioning in that disallowed goal is not due to being caught high up, when luiz is looking for the pass, see how the back 4 are in line tgt, 3 excluding Trent plays the offside trap but look how Trent drops and plays Watkins on….
Poor reading and concentration
I loved Trent, but it is undeniable that his defending for the past 3 seasons is shambolic and is the key reason for the imbalance in defensive nous….
Look at how much balance Gomez or Bradley brings in when they play at Rb..
Trent is a luxury player free role player that we simply cannot accommodate for, I still believe he can succeed as an Xabi Alonso or Pirlo type deep lying playmaker in midfield, but this will require pairing him with a top level 6 or he has to wake up his bloody idea and actually defend
We always draw far too many games. We’ve seen it all before!
The thing is we need a proper DM # 6, Infact world class, tried and tested #6. A world class CB and a forward who can play like Salah or Firminho during their prime days. If we fail to do this next season will be the same old story. City are not losing games because of Rodri, Arsenal is fighting for the league because of Rice, so if we want to make a meaningful impact we need top 3 or 4 players to make our team a complete team capable of fighting for any trophy. Period
We need a whole new midfield , whole new forward line and a whole new defence ...This current squad should be scrapped and we should hold no prisoners , past glory is irrelevant in the current situation , no more favourites
Trent reckons he's above defending. Great going forward, but doesn't give a f*ck when it comes to challenging for a header or getting his shirt dirty.
I've said it before, I think VVD is on his last limbs. The same is happening with Casemiro and Thiago Silva. VVD will be 33 in July. Time to move him on or at least have him as a backup CB, coming off the bench.
Did Virg let Watkins round the back for their first? Did Virg force an error out of MacAllister for their second? Should he have done better off the absolute fluke third? You're chatting shite mate he's a PotY nominee this season for a reason.
For me, if VVD stays he should be used sparingly next season. He looks bad when there isn’t a competent DM in the team. Hence, why at the start of the season he was complaining about Mac10 playing in the DM role.
@@pbplauralfilms it’s about foreseeing the future mate. He’s had plenty of bad performances this year and is also not captain material. He is now a short term solution for us. He’s given us his prime days.

Everybody is talking about our defense...
1. Our midfield of Hendo, Fab, Gini were workhorses without the ball.
Currently opposition can walk through our midfield.
2. Mane and prime Salah worked relentlessly to track back and double up with our lb/rb. Add that to point 1.
Currently, it just isn't happening anymore.
It isn't just about our defenders. The whole team is less defensively aware.
The last 3 weeks we lost 2 games and draw 2 games, had we won all 4 games would would have won the league by now.
The need for a top class defensive midfielder is still there. McAllister has done a great job covering, but it has robbed the team of his best attributes as a result of the positional change. Endo is honest and dedicated, but is a squad player for games against lesser teams, not a first choice 11 player. Bajcetic is still young and raw, and not ready to be counted on after coming off of such a long injury-related lay off. All the more need for the purchase of a highly regarded defensive mid therefore. A central defender of top quality to challenge both VVD and Quansah (Konate is unreliable, albeit great on his day, but very injury prone) is also needed. With a proper defensive mid and a commanding centre back, LFC would have a solid base to build on tactically for next season. Last summer's spending was ultimately incomplete.
Time for a fresh tactical approach I think under Slot or whoever comes in. If Klopp stayed it would get pretty stale pretty fast and it wouldn't be as nice a farewell as he is gonna get on the final day this season. For a few years now I've felt like teams easily figure us out and can weather the storm of Klopp's tactics, that's why we've been struggling to break teams down, conceding first, etc, they know how to play us now. A different setup might be beneficial at this point like a breath of fresh air, and make teams think twice about how they're gonna deal with us.
Liverpool have conceded first in 16 of the 37 games this season (drawing 6 and losing 4) which is nuts for a comfortably top 4 side. If Slot can work out how to stop doing that, we'd be potentially 10-20 points better off. The knock on effects in terms of fatigue, stress and game management would only help too.
The 1st thing slot needs to do is change our formation to fit TAA into a dictating (think Pirlo) central midfielder & that means 4231
Trent is wasted in defence he is so good in the offensive moments and positions and his lack of working hard in defence is also an indication that he doesn't really want to defend. He has to play in midfield from next season. We have to carry him when he is in defence it would overall be better if we just play him in midfield and play bradley at RB.
Well now Klopp is going hopefully things will improve with the new boss coming in , Klopp messed up bringing on all four subs at once he should have only brought on one sub if a sub was truly needed or could we have hung on with team already on the pitch?? Thoughts anyone please no swearing please YNWA .

Story of the season. VVD can not defenD, he can not pass, he as given villa a game again tonight. The defense as cost Klopp the A chance of a FA CUP an Euro Cup and the league.. Look at the injuries, and how Diaz, Nunez, Jota, Macca, Endo, won matches, while the likes of TAA an VVD lost games. We were doing well with no Jones, No TAA , No Salah

Actually comfortable with Klopp leaving now. His system his tired and finished. Our Kamikaze style football damages us defensively. Slot plays with a 532 defence, the will be better at that than Klopp
He doesn't play 532 at all! He routinely plays a 4231
