Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living outside the Philippines due to job assignment. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my RUclips Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club president and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
WHAT IS THE GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others may actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
I have come to a point of trying to find a greater purpose in life, something beyond just being happy for a moment. Happiness in life is more meaningful if we choose to be useful, be honorable, be compassionate, and make a difference.

I haven't seen tv for long time so that's why I've just known that judika is back 😊 his true stage is kind this stage with huge orchestra big festival event. By the way erwin gutawa is one of the best orchestra in Indonesia. His events never makes me dissapointed

Hi nephi, I think you should check out Mike Mohede, Mike was Judika's best friend in Indonesian Idol and he is the winner of the competition but unfortunately now Mike is Rest in Peace but his voice and songs are so good.

He seems to have a naturally husky/hoarse voice, unless this was the end of a concert. I love his melisma and especially his vocal breaks . He seems to do combination of breaks and melisma at the same time, [Like in 4:58], which I like. The song then turns into a march at 5:07. Just breathtaking. The background music to the end of this song kind of reminded me of "you're gonna love me". Listen to it again if you're not sure, from like 7:39 minutes onward.
I know that he has raspy colours in his voice too, but I still think he sounded hoarse. But he's very talented. Wow! He has a lot of soul in his performance.
