Something you notice right away about Curtis flying, he flies lines, big maneuvers hooked together to create interesting patterns of movement. A lot of guys just string complicated tricks together, Curtis flies the aircraft in a much more artistic fashion IMO. He is not alone in this there are other good 'line' pilots but he is among the best hands down.

Its a trick, granted, but the blades were supposed to spool up again, heli was at the wrong attitude for negative pitch to bite and respool. Its the risk you take with a blade stop, I've even known both blades to fold back on themselves with the same result.
    Youngblood's a damm good flyer!

Softstart and autorotations are a very good combination to go later to the RC shop to buy a new T-rex

@MegaAirRivals Nitro rc's don't have fuel pumps. They work on exhaust pressure, which is how the fuel gets forced to the carburettor.

Damn, so close to saving it. Spectacular trick when it goes right, but when it goes wrong...

Good try Curtis. No it has nothing to do with the Trex cliptorisque. This is Curtis move. He was suppose to land the heli with the blades dead in the air as u saw when they stopped. He cuts it off and lands the heli.. usually. Never seen him crash it on that move till this video.
I also thought he was sponsored by JR.. Maybe not anymore or just Radios?

I fly exactly like this, not big on the crack 3d moves I'm big on finesse. If theirs a big open field and sky use it to its max. Excellent flying, I would have liked to see him pull that second auto.

He did a blade stop... and failed to restart the blades. Heli was too vertical.

looks like he tried to power up the blades again at the end

Where exactly in the title does it say "special"? The video is about a failed blade stop. If you want "special" look in the mirror.

I'm sorry but this is terrible looking flying. This thing doesn't look smooth at all.
