Nick, I went out this afternoon and tried this tip. It really works !!!! Here's the real kicker: I am 69 years old and still throwing aces down on people. This tip absolutely adds more power to my flat serve. Thanks so much. You're the best. Dave
I am a senior and been playing for decades. No loading at all. I just found this video on serve loading . One of the finest instruction on serve loading. Thanks. One commend about your student, he needs to pay attention to your instruction more :):)
Nick, I find that I'm able to achieve a much deeper racquet drop by simultaneously thrusting the pelvis forward. It provides superior balance, allows me to maintain a straighter spine, and lets me tilt it back at a much greater angle, with less stress on the back and neck, than if I try to curve the spine with the muscles of the back and neck. I feel the tension of the load in my quads, and I use those stronger muscles to begin the upward propulsion, before my abs and back muscles kick in to assist. I suspect that may be why you were gently pushing on Samir's tush with your racquet to help him as he was attempting to lean back as much as he could.
So that explains the good serve of Ash Barty who is only 5.44 ft. She does the C that Nic talks about quite sharply and so for her low height she has a nice serve at 110 mi/h. Do you agree with this Nic ? ruclips.net/video/cTRFawEe_G4/видео.html
