Lovely talk. Know that the adults in the encampment rooms are our teachers now. Just finding all of you, lately and now, is because of their clarity, courage, persistence. Now we are watching, listening. Thank you Rabbani & Marjorie for sharing your life work. So that Palestinains might live! And love might return. Like the white-kite -angel of Refaat's poem. You give us hope. Blessings upon you both.
The more I dig around, the more I'm finding anti-Zionist or non-Zionist or leftist/socialist Jewish histories and it's super inspiring ✊ you need to dig around youtube to find some of the more obscure podcasts socialist podcasts ♥ totally worth it, both American-Jewish + not 🙂
Now find the Arabs and Muslims who oppose Arab antisemitism. There are none. The Arabs these Jews go out of their way to empathize with will turn on every Jew the second they can.
It would be more helpful if Mouin Rabbani asked one question at a time instead of multi-questions in the guise of a single question. This is not only as a courtesy to the guest but also helps the audience by not having to remember how many questions have just been asked. For example: At 1:10 Q. What were the key characteristics of each of these trends _AND_ were they expressed differently within the American-Jewish contexts than they were elsewhere? Or again at 5:35 Q. To what extent were non-Zionism and anti-Zionism within the American-Jewish community the result of factors specific to the American-Jewish experience such as Zionism as you just mentioned being seen as a threat to assimilation by a community at the time had a very high proportion of recent immigrants _AND_ to what extent were these trends motivated by specific opposition either the Zionist agenda in Palestine or more universal political agendas that were applied to Zionism just as they would be applied to anything else? Please.
Thank you !

Very interesting I sights.
Good questions and answers.
Thank you M. Rabbani and Mrs Feld 🙏
great conversation about critical questions. Professor Feld's book should be on everyone's (especially Jewish people) reading list.
Thank you Mouin and Marjorie!
