It's actually usb 2.0 all audio interfaces need to be usb 2.0 that's all it needs it's just a different plug in to connect in usb C because mac made thunderbolt 3 and 4 as C connection and Usb 3.2 or 4 are now USB C type
Phantom power in 1-4 & 4-8, can you turn phantom power off say condenser mike in channel 1 phantom power on and guitar in channel 2 phantom power off at the same time ?
Hey! I haven't had the pleasure of trying the apogee element. I have tried other apogee products and they are great! But isn't the element discontinued? I wouldn't buy a discontinued digital interface, since you don't get any support from the brand if anything happens
I didn't say that haha you can because it's a clean preamp, but you might have to take the knob all the way. I would suggest you use something like a Qlifter from Quagliardi audio or Flavour from Tierra audio to bump up the signal before the clarett
Trying to figure that out myself and the info in vague online so far regarding this. The fact that the Scarlett 18i20 has an actual "ALT" button on the front that you can press to switch between monitors, and the higher dollar Clarett doesn't, makes no sense to me. However, if you have a passive monitor controller which I do, it's less of an issue. However, I was looking to get rid of my monitor controller to streamline my setup and have more desk space.
Thanks for watching! What are your thaughts on this interface? What video should I do next?
I've been using this interface since last November and it's been amazing.
Great song and demonstration.
Thank you 😊
Gracias man very concise and useful info!
Great review and great voice!
Hey nice voice dude
Thank you so much!
Why is the clarett+ series not thunderbolt? Is there that much of a difference between 8pre and +8pre?
It has the USB-C port that accepts Thunderbolt 4.

You say you won't recommend I use it for a Shure SM7B mic?😏

Is the Phantom Power independent for each channel ?
Thanks
No, its 1-4 and 5-8
Is the Clarett + 8 Pre good for synthesizers?
Hell yeah, Im using it for my synths right now
Can I use to record it in my mobile with interface
Does anyone know if mac's volume keys adjust system volume when outputting through the clarett+ line? I know they don't on the scarlett line
You can't use the volume keys for external interfaces.
Do you bypass preamb by using a jack (line instr)?
Sadly no
It really doesn’t color the sound tho
Dont know where u got 20-20k from. It goes to 35
If I use different monitors and for example one monitor as a reference, how can I switch between those?
