VERY SWEET!!! FOCUSRITE IS AND PRETTYMUCH ALWAYS HAS BEEN THE INDUSTRY-LEADING MANUFACTURER OF USB AUDIO INTERFACE's that are sonically pure and are crazy versatile, with A>D & D>A conversion that is crystal clear, and pure "pre amps" that are a complete package!!!!! 👍🏼's up for sure on this little gem Coop!!!!!! ANYWAY, KEEP ON KEEPING ON BROTHER DRUMMER!!!!!!!!!! PEACE!!!!!!!!!! 🤘🏼
GReat video. I'm new in recording as producer but recorded records most my life but in the market for my first rack interface and You helped me make my decision. I was looking at the UniversalAudio Apollo series but I just can't justify $2000 more for it. This is a great option and almost popped on the Scarlett but glad I saw this video before I did. Liked & Subscribed..Cheers
Why is it nobody is showing the physical set up of the claret units? Especially using the word clock cables? I noticed the word clock connection only has 1 out but no in. How are we linking a external word clock to sync the 8pre adat with the interface? Do we forget the external clock and just go from the out of the interface to the in of the pre? Can someone clarify for me plz
I noticed that too. It doesn't appear there is a way to make the Claret the slave, only the master clock. That is weird, most interfaces that have word clock have both I/O
Hey noobie here. Im confused which one to get octopre or clarett+. i dont get the difference between them and how they work. Also Can you make a tutorial on how to connect the two. Great drumming by the way
You will need the clarett+ first. This is the actual usb audio interface. It comes with 8 mic inputs. The Octopre is only used to hook to the clarett+ via ADAT cable to add an addition 8 mic inputs. The Octopre can’t be used stand alone as an audio interface like the Clarett+. I have both and they’re amazing.
Great review mate, very informative and well done!
I know it's about the clarett, but damn this Pearl Master is gorgeous!

The Octopre will hook to the Clarett+ via ADAT cable which is an optical audio cable. It’s super simple.
Did those answers help your question?
