How are you guys liking them? I'm really considering one if these over a new Marshall. I think prs nailed this one. Do you guys know if you can swap in el34s like the archons? I would think not, but just curious cuz that would be amazing.

    • @RowdyGrunt

Brother, if PRS makes a big boy version, 50 or a 100 Watt, I will buy that one too. It sounds so damn good; and the more than I play it, the more that I like it. Ever had a piece of gear that makes you feel like you're getting better at playing because of that gear? This is one of those pieces for me. It's that good.

I threw a 12au7 tube in V3, and a 12at7 in V4...... Holy CRAP! Made this Amp so so much more versatile. The gain at 9 o'clock is blues all day. 3 o'clock is full on metal. With everything in between.

16:50-17:14 - Whatever mic situation was happening here, more of it please. That is like the most authentic 'room' sound I've ever heard on any of your videos. It was an accurate representation of cab and ambient sound. Perfect!!!

Nah. Once I found out I was having a daughter I gave up the touring life. Not trying to be away from home and miss that haha. That band I was in was sponsored by Jagermeister so we got to play some pretty cool shows. That show was Alter Bridge and Future Leaders Of The World and we also did a couple shows with Staind, Three Days Grace and Hurt and one with Slayer and I can't remember the other Jager ones. But yeah man, was good times. I don't mention this to come off as bragging or anything. Just appreciative. Really I just wanted to point out what a nice fella Mr. Tremonti was :)

What I really like is the Marshall cab with this MT15 head.

For my taste it actually sounded better with the 1x12 v30 (and I hate v30's). Weird, I know, maybe it's because the amp is so dark that it doesn't become too shrill with v30's. When switched to the gb 4x12 at 32:47 the amp sounded duller.

Are the tubes 6L6 or JJ5881? I keep seeing different information and unless I am mistaken 6L6 are 30 watt but JJ5881 are 23 watt due to plate voltage.

They were 6L6 then in 2021 they changed to JJ5881.
But….I just got mine and it says manufactured in 2023 and I believe it has 6L6 again.

Won't be flogging the Evh lbx ii and rushing out to buy a prs Tremonti anytime soon , I thought the lbx was a bit modern sounding but the Tremonti takes the biscuit .

For modern guitar player Prs mt-15 is the best I must say! More aggressive, clean tone, darker, dynamic vibes, crunchy, groovy & hooky..and many many more...!!! That's what killer mt-15 does🤘

Mt15 best metal amp ive owned and played on. Clean is sexy and the gain punches your chest when you palm mute at low volume.

Robert Lawson do you play it through the 1x12. In its it too loud for at home? I’m worried it will be too loud even at 7 watts. I’m fine with blasting out. Just not eat defining loud

Fout years later and I can attest to this comment.
I have a USA 6505+ and it just doesn't punch my chest like this amp does. It does cut through with its huge mids, that's something a 5150/6505 can do.
I had to boost the MT15 to tighten up the low end, it's so HUGE yet usable, unlike a dual recto which sounds like a undergained, garbled, undefined, fat mess 😂😂😂

Kind of a one-trick pony, but it does that one trick REALLY really well. That filthy rock tone is immense.

I was just telling my wife that this is the amp that I want but I probably should buy something like the Sonzera just to cover more bases... but I REALLY want this one since rock/metal tones are my absolute favorite.

Alter Bridge play arge stadiums. My guess is a clean channel might just get drowned out when outdoors so everything needed to be boosted?

neilomac I don’t believe in “one trick”. You can always tweak to do more one trick is one of those guitar words we all grow around that is basically bullshit. Work you knobs peeps. It’s all in the knobs
