@@RicochetForce Thanks for noting this. I had no idea the game was that cheap compared to games it was competing against. They did a masterful job making every dollar count.
@@kaylee42900 Yeah, when I actually saw the number Remedy quoted for Control I called BS. But sure enough as they broke down how and why they chose that method, it was all about cost savings and maximizing the budget. The Oldest House alone is brilliant in reusing 95% of assets.
Bramble: The Mountain King was one of the biggest surprises of the past few years for me. I was expecting yet another "small child in a hostile, evil world" platformer, and it ended up being one of the most wonderful and varied action-adventure games of the past decade.
Totally agree. I buy one, and occasionally 2, AAA games a year, about 6-8 indie games, and at least 4 AA games. Basically 1 in 6+ games I buy are AAA nowadays!
Well, the Ori games were quite amazing, and small games like Limbo and Inside were gems. Metro 2033 and that series was excellent, as was Little Nighmares. SOMA is a classic perfect for the Halloween season, by the way.
Yes there are of course lots of games missing: Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, Subnautica, The Total War games (both historical and Warhammer), Enshrouded, Wartales, the XCOM games....
I wouldn’t call Control a AA game. Neither would I call Lies of P one either. That would be like calling Bloodborne a AA game. These are definitely triple A. Kingdom Come Deliverence and Atomic Heart are also questionable as double A titles. I’d call those triple A productions.
I knew KCD would be here, if it wasn't that would be a sin 😂 Since the release of the game i totally ignored it. Everyone was saying it was a realistic game and i thought that would be very boring. I saw some videos and screenshots at the time and i didn't like it. Well, as KCD 2 is coming, the first one got on sale dirty cheap. Then i saw some reviews to try to convince me to buy the game, and i decided to give it a try some weeks ago. I bought the Royal Edition (choose this one if you can. And yes, i'm recommending this one even without playing the dlcs just yet). And what can i say...well, this is by far the most immersive and realistic game i ever played (alongside with RDR 2, however much more difficult). And i'm talking as someone who plays videogames for decades. The game is a masterpiece. I played it for about 50h ('till now), and the game is so full of details and rich in content that i can't even decide what to do (the game even have a very detailed encyclopedia with a lotta info about the medieval era). But remember! The game is supposed to be realistic/ hard as the real life at that time. There's no spells, magic, dragons or enchanted weapons here, and even your character starts as a common guy without any skill (he can't even read! He needs to learn with a scribe). Almost everything you do in this game you should do manually with complex mechanics (like brewing potions/ alchemy or even fix your weapon). Henry is not the chosen one or anything like that. The game is brutal, the mechanics are difficult, the combat is relentless, but everything have a purppose. Dive into it and you gonna have one of the best experiencies a game could deliver imo. Be warned though that this game is gonna drain your time and your life lol my poor Fallout 4 is waiting my comeback, but after KCD i don't know when i'm gonna go back to play it.
Control being double AA?? Man sorry excuse me? Control is a remedy product remedy is a triple-A all-the-way studio with deep pockets but yeah some of their games don't always sell that many copies but they release some of the most twisted imaginative shit out there and they pull it off like it's nothing! They are a great studio but they are a triple-A nothing wrong with that their games are gold!
@@PlayHunters_sorry that not it. The child has blonde hair and there’s a dark haired giant witch holding the child in the video. It’s with in the introduction video.

Elex 2 is good one with much potential.
