I hate him but a) he is hilarious b) he is creative as fuck c) he is a curse, you can't really blame him
I typically dislike the whole evil just to be evil type of villains. The ones that are relatable in some sense will always pique my interest more. But Mahito is one of the few exceptions for me lol. He is sickeningly entertaining if that makes sense. The fact that he’s a curse & only behaving according to his nature makes me tolerate his atrocities more so than a human villain who kills just as indiscriminately.
Give them credit where its due, they know what Mahito capable of but still standing 10 toes down with just hands in the thumbnail. Thats real jujutsu right there

Itadori is Mahito's weakness for 2 reasons (no spoilers, revealed in S1):
- he can't transfigure Yuji's soul because Sukuna will interfere and kill him, so Mahito can't use his full range of attacks, so he's trying to break Yuji mentally
- because Itadori has another soul (Sukuna) in him, he instinctively throws punches that target his opponent's soul, which Mahito usually changes to avoid true damage
RIP to Nanami, his voice actor killed it!
Also, 13:13 Itadori was fortunately present when his Gramps passed away.

I am pretty sure Mahito can just regenerate his physical body as long as his soul is unharmed. so regular damage is nothing for him. but since Yuji is aware of his own soul he can damage Mahito's. or at least that is what has been said in the first season.
