I was about 6 or 7 when my dad played this, and I always loved to watch. Didn’t understand English at that time yet, so didn’t understand a thing about what was going on. I also found it very scary and creepy at some times. And I still remember the tune of the Highlands perfectly!
I share the exact same story with you. My dad also played this and my sisters and me were always watching. I remember screaming really loudly when Aine appeared on the screen :D 54:01
@KytaraMuz I also share a very similar story, I was very young and didn't speak English at that time. I was playing with my dad and it took me forever to achieve anything in that game through trial and error. I also thought it was quite creepy and used to think about Aine every time I looked in a corner of any part of the house. Such nostalgia!
Damn, I remember my dad letting me pick this up from the bargain game rack at Kmart like 20 years ago. Total nostalgia trip. I remember being annoyed to find out that it wasn't a free-roaming adventure game like Zelda, but falling in love with the music and environments anyway.

Wow - what a nostalgia trip! I used to love playing this game as a kid. This play through is giving me wicked flashbacks. I remember loving the soothing music. ❤

You want to know why I love this channel? It's because this channel plays any game no matter how obscure or old and I can view them all to look for games i wanna play myself. I have way to many consoles to know all the games for them all so this channel helps me with that lol. I have a n64, Xbox, Xbox 360, ps2 slim(backwards compatibility with ps1), a Wii(compatibility with GameCube discs), a GameCube, PSP 2000, ds light and a retron 5 which btw is [GBA, GBC, GB, NES, SNES, FAMI, SFAMI, SEGA GENESIS AND MEGA DRIVE, MASTER SYSTEM, MASTER SYSTEM CARD AND GAME GEAR.] And of course I have a computer lol but with all these console I need to find good games to play on them so thank you for this channel man.

The only mistake that causes setbacks is near its ending (fighting that "hidden knowledge" monster from "Atlantis 1"). Oh and also forgetting the stone sequence! I almost forgot about that. So beware!! You can choose any sequence, but remember the custom order you placed them, or you'll get stuck.
47:23 My parents played this game when I was a kid and this ogre gave me nightmares for years. I was always terrified he was in the corner of my room. so glad I found a picture of him again, only really remember his metal “diaper” as we called it 😂

Yes, mine too. I saw a docu about the Maya's and wanted to play the game again. To bad I cannot find the CD's anymore. Only found the empty box :(. Glad to see this here.
I could never get anywhere in those MYST type of games but always loved the wonderful atmosphere of these games. Another fantastic game in this series is named AMAZON. Would be great if someone could complete and show it.
What an impressive use of the State of technology at that time. Now I have to play every game in that series. It's even better than Halo CE in 2001 which I always regarded as the peak at that time.
Also, at 2:57:00 , I still to this day have no idea how to solve that puzzle without trial-and-error. If anyone out there understands the logic behind the clues given, please explain it to me.
If I remember correctly, (SPOILERS) you have to put the disks in the first time so that each element is "born" from the previous one. The second time you have to put them in a way that the element is destroyed by the previous one. 1st time: earth > metal > water > wood > fire 2nd time: water > fire > metal > wood > earth
I never understood the ending. How is Rhea still alive and in Shambala? How can he use a flyer to Atlantis and breath under water? Who's this random naked woman? Why are they both on a different planet and are seemingly forming a new world? What is going on?
Rhea isn't alive, she is a message for Ten with her face. She only exists in Shambala, a place build by Set's ancestors.Breathing underwater is probably due to using the Light Power. The woman is the final answer for what is the star on the sky - the end of a journey of both Ten and the Power. The Power with milenial human experience of Power and the woman create new habitable planet with different sky with a pair of humans.
I played all 5 games in the series, difficult to say the least, they provided a challenge, was not to keen on the Last 2 but played them anyway, i still have them all, 👏💯😎♥️👌🇬🇧🤗
Atlantis 1 was excellent, the 2 is the direct following of the first episode ( quite good but hard to understand the ending), the 3 was too short ( finish in 2 hours = what a dissapointment), the 4 was quite good but the ending is really bad, i didnt appreciate the 5 because there were 0 link with the other games ( maybe near the end but this is not a terrible game)
@@detoxnixon6052 seems like, once "complete" with Light and Darkness, Ten returns to where the Power long time ago came from, far away in the space, and there is his mate, pregnant with a new world, and they in the end watch together the beginning of the human civilization... as they turn back time on Earth... 🤔
