That is such a good idea to use up your filament scraps. I learned a new term "charm pricing".

I have a solution: Make sure your thumbnail has BOTH a full color and single color version in it. So like have the full color version in front and a gray version just being it and offset a bit or have both of them facing each other up close. Customers are smart enough to know the low price is the base price and the full color will cost more. Then you aren't being misleading and you can sell both.

Each machine will have different tolerances. This can cause issues when trying to print parts that need to fit together across multiple machines. I see this with my fleet of Bambu printers and imagine it would be worse with multiple manufacturers. I strongly recommend printing something like a 10mm calibration cube across all beds and measure them to see how close to 10mm they are accuracy wise. This may be playing a role in your dummy 13 printed parts breaking during assembly.

Just show single color model behind the full color model in the main photo and then have multiple photos of each in the listing. Also make the names of the variations extremely clear that one is single color and the other is full color.

Said it before but the work has already been done on the dummy13 model to scale to 500%, 1000%, etc. Just scaling up the standard model is not the way to go. Just use the already remastered versions and save a lot of time and money.

Great to see you trying to sensor your own models again 🤣. There is a large bunch of people who just love to paint stuff and make it heir own, if you can get a "good enough" surface finish, print slowly, variable layer height, matt PLA etc. etc. then single colour medium to large models may be very appealing ( just me waving my hands and guessing ). I would use grey, matt PLA - white hides surface finish.

Since the single color take less time and filament, he could also print them with a finer layer height, since people want that better finish for painting.

Do you have a link to the external spool holders you are using and will they work with 3kg spools?

When I go to sites where something looks like a great value and find that the price is the lowest price option but not what is pictured, I don't feel deceived more than I'm annoyed and in most cases I just avoid that seller unless I'm really motivated. You'll get more clicks and terrible conversion metrics.

Do the solid color one as a separate listing so it's not deceiving on the price of the color one.

And you thought being 7 feet tall was enough, if you want to put that model together as easily as the small version, you need to grow to at leaste 70 feet tall. Then everything will scale appropriately, actually you still weakened the model buy scaling it up 10x, you need a 10x bigger nozzel to match the scale, now you got the same strength as the small model. But now you need the 10x the strength to put it in... that looked hard to take apart. So life size snap fit probably wasnt going to work. Thanks for saving everyone a lot of time. Thats a tough engineering problem to solve, its never been done before, (life size snap fit) but maybe someone can figure it out, id just glue it and pick a pose or something. I wouldnt rely on those friction joints anyway, in a few years that bot will be as limp as noodle. Maybe attach some servos in the joint, i found a toy robot like this, you could move the joints around and theyd stay because they were all motors. I wish i could of plugged it in and see it move for real but anyway, maybe this is a way to make a life size posing robot. You could even actually make it automatically pose without any crazy robotics, just pose the bot, copy the position of each servo, then whenever you want that pose send that copied data of their position back to the servos and voila! autoposing robot.

I’m confused. It’s just exhibition, but you’re deceiving customers for sales? Personally, I would have another listing for on your store rather than options within the listing, but Etsy probably charge more for that.
Perhaps, take a photo with both models as the cover.

Was more of a giving into the overall trend that every other seller seems to use. I dont want to be misleading because I dont want to deal with CRM’s, but ultimately sales are more important

nah they only charge 20 cents aud for new listings so it cost nothing and he could duplicate the old listing change the photos and add that it can be painted in the description and title
