This is one of my favorite wireless mics. I've had it since it was released as well as the DW20pro, and I have no complaints. Nice video, I actually learned something new about the mic.

Great product review. At 9:18 where you state "...on the transmitter you can of course boost or reduce the input..." you likely meant on the receiver.

Hello DOD Media. I recently purchased a unit of this iRAY DW-30 model. The reasons for buying this model were the internal recording capacity, but I have to reduce the supposed real technical characteristics to very usable 16-bit-48,000khz files (in my units, the recordings appear with the characteristics that I describe) and the other The reason is the charging station, because I find it useful to have an extra power reserve.

Hi, Quick question. I have just received the 7RYMS DW30 and have been playing around with it for the past week and noticed one thing. If you leave the transmitters and receiver in the charging Box, they drain down the battery on the charging Box even if they are full charged. Have you had this same problem?

Yeah it makes sense, otherwise they'd lose their own charge gradually. This ensures the units are always at 100%

Just place a piece of paper, thin cardboard, or something between charge connections when you don't want loose the juice. Remove that when you want charge them!

Did you use an anamorphiclens to shoot this or a streak filter?

I use the Velium magrota system pretty much by default on everything I shoot now. And that kit indeed includes a blue streak and gold streak filter 🙌 the lens I used for this whole review is the classic SIGMA 35mm f1.4 ART

Thanks for your review. I watched a few reviews about the D30 but none of them show the receiver connected to a camera. I bought a D30 but the clip on the receiver had spikes and wouldn't hook on a shoe mount. Therefore the kit was pretty useless and I sent it back. Does the clip on your receiver hooks on a shoe mount and stays there? It doesn't fall? I am going to post a review showing the problem.

Indeed it doesn't fit in the camera cages cold shoe, it slides right out. But if you like the system then it's an easy fix, the file down the grip teeth in the receivers clip so the clip closes more then it will grasp the cold shoe. Not ideal but if you like the system itself it's a tiny mod to have it work exactly how you want it to

Use a file to file down the teeth in the clip of the receiver. Easy fix

EDIT: So I can see a lot of similarities between the DW30s and the DJI wireless mic system. I've not used the DJI mics yet so I can't say whether they're better or how. But the DW30s are a third cheaper than the DJI kit.

David can you turn off the units out of the charging case? So they won't drain their battery when they are done? Can you record safety track to internal storage on unit while also using wireless signal connected to a phone recording video live on your phone? Thanks Sir

Yeah of course, the units don't actually turn on when you take them out of the case, it just shows their battery level when you open the case. You can just record a single mono feed on the internal storage though. The safety track feature is dealt with on the receiver. So if you're plugging into a phone it'll give you safety track on the phone.
